• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DIY Front LED's - Lights up the moon!!

I just finished installing my LED's on the front of my '13 STS last night. I decided to take the DIY route and order the components that I fealt were best for the money. Below are a few pics of what they look like!

LEDS: 3 Chip SMD 5050
Lumen: 380 lm/ft
Color: Cool White
Strip Finish: Black
Waterproofing: 10mm LED sleeve
Attachment: Silicone glue

Location: Top and bottom A frame arms. 1 Ft per arm. Each side has an equivalent 760 lumen and the bike has a front projection (without headlights) of about 1540 lumen equivalent. I angled them down a bit since they are so bright... but I should definitely be seen.

:agree:  :2thumbs:
A few more lumens up front; and you'll be able to "fry your way", through almost anything that steps out in front of you!

Everything looks bright at night. Curious to see how this looks during the day when visibility (being seen) is more of an issue. Got some daytime pics you could post?

Here are a couple of pics I just took after I returned from a meeting... this is how dedicated I am to the Spyder family... full business attire taking pictures of my Spyder!!

These are taken at about 12pm on a completely sunny day here in Dallas. One is in full sunlight and the other is in the shade from my garage. Note that the headlights are on High-beam.

I like the bright. Pics of mine to follow.

Sorry no front on pics yet... but you can see the difference between the LED headlight and the aux light.

IF YOU WANT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY BRIGHT

Plz list the website and part numbers of the LED bulbs. Will the same bulbs work on the 14 rt limited? Thx

+ INEXPENSIVE,( $ 6.00 ea.) Look on E-bay for LED's that are listed as COB LED's ......they are made differently, not individual chips. They are more like a solid BAR of light , they are EXTREMELY bright...........Mike
