I checked the oil today and it was down not quite to the add mark. I added about 3 ounces. That brought it back to almost the full mark. Some of you have probably correlated the dip stick marks. It looks like there is only about 4 ounces difference between the ADD mark and the FULL mark. From the distance between the dipstick marks and the size of the oil tank, that would seem to be about right.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many miles since the last oil change?
2,000 miles, so not concerned with a little oil use, just trying to understand the marks.

I have found that if you set the oil level to JUST touch the dipstick when COLD, it will be about half way between the marks when you check it using the recommended procedure AND you will get no oil in your air box. Filling above this point tends to get oil in the airbox untill it gets down to the above mentioned level.
