• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

any owners notice recently there are a lot of individuals out there that do not actually OWN a spyder but asking and learning ??? What about the test drive and see for yourself and then do some more homework ?? Just curious. No shame in what they are doing, just curious...

That's what I did before I bought mine, in addition to the test drive. I felt like that was the homework.

It's nice to have a site like this in order to gather information.

I bought my 2008 GS sight unseen, untested, and with just the information that was on the BRP site at the time. I received it in June of 2009--the second one to AK.

I did not find this site until Feb of 2010. I like the daily information and camaradarie with other :spyder2: owners everywhere.

At the time I purchased, I may have been scared off by all the mechanical stuff that was going on--but since I did not have any bad information, I jumped in, and am glad I did.

Probably a lot of folks would rather speak face to face to gather up information. I like to think of the social aspects of Spyder ownership as a major benefit.
It ends up turning all of us into Ambassadors for our chosen sport, and I dig it! :2thumbs: :ohyea:

Thank you SpyderLovers

Have already completed a short test drive. No license but, was given the opportunity anyway, and loved every second of it as well:thumbup:. There are a lot of awesome, seasoned, learned folks on this site and that's why I joined and continue to lurk about . I like to read about every ones adventures, up and down times, complaints etc. If not for the basement renos this year I would have already pulled the trigger. As it is, the war department is still on side  and there will be one in garage next year . I have a lot of ammo to take with me to the dealer when I'm ready, thanks to this site and the input of others. I learn something new every day here and consider it my homework. There's nothing wrong with a good face to face chat either, but unfortunately, there is not many around in my neck of the woods.
