Dimming Digital Display?

I recently purchased a used 2011 RT-S.

I was on the highway early this morning when it dawned on me that the Digital Display was pretty bright. I got to work and pulled up the Owners Manual and the manual says "The display will use a light color when the ambient light is bright and will automatically change to a darker color when the ambient light is dusky."

Is there a sensor somewhere that I could cover up to see if my display changes?

Yes, there is.
It's at about the 10:00 position in the analog speedometer display; pretty close to the center of the dial... :thumbup:
