• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dimensions for RT-622 Trailer

I will have to pick the trailer up with my small pickup as the hitch is a ways out from being delivered. I do not want to tow it as I am sure I can just put it up in the bed but I want to be sure before I drive 150 miles to pick it up. What I need are the following measurements:

Hitch to front of trailer body
Hitch to center line of tire
Center line of tire to rear most spot of trailer body
Width at front of body

I think I will have to keep the tail gate down and roll the trailer up until it stops at the wheel wells then strap it into the bed.

Thanks for you help with this,

Randy

It is narrow enough (44.5") that it should slide between the wheel wells on a full-sized PU, and probably most compacts. It also is rounded a bit on the bottom, which is above the bed, so it will clear more readily than you may think. You may wish to load it tongue first, to avoid banging the body against the front of the bed, but if tied down well (through the wheels like a Spyder, from both directions, or blocked and tied, it should be OK in either direction. Hard to lift, because there are no good lift points on the rounded body, so ramps work better, but a couple of strong guys can certainly lift the 150 pounds.

27" = Hitch to front of trailer body
65" = Hitch to center line of tire
28" = Center line of tire to rear most spot of trailer body
??? = Width at front of body Body is tapered and pointed, so it depends on where you measure. It is about 36" eight inches back from the point.

Be sure to tie it down securely...and maybe even pad between it and the wheelwells and the front of the bed...just to be safe.

Correction on the empty trailer weight... it is 250 pounds. 150 pounds maximum cargo weight for a gross trailer weight of 400 pounds.

Thanks Mark...brain fart. It would take real strong guys or about four to lift it. Ramps are a much better idea.

Thanks, I will be sure to bring padding and tie downs. I should be able to snag some ramps, if not they have them I available for loading up.

Thanks again, getting excited to get the new toy! lol

You should be able to keep the tailgate closed if you back the trailer in you can put the tongue on top of the tailgate. Run a strap around the tongue and tie it off on both sides to keep it from shifting from side to side.

Be careful when you are pulling the trailer around that you don't lift it so high that you scrape the back end of it. :banghead:
