• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Digital display blank on 2013 ST-L

Ok folks, have you had this happen on RT Or ST? After my last stop this morning my screen went blank and came back when I restarted but looked streaky. Seemed to go back to normal after i rode a while. Then noticed analog rpm was reading 2000 higher than digital. Digital seemed correct. I shut down when I got home. When I started back up to pull in garage everything was normal.

Was your :ani29: left out to bake in the sun for awhile? If yes, the screen will fix it self when it cools down.

It was in the sun. I would say that it has been in hotter conditions though. You point makes total sense though. I have only had the bike for 2 months so this was the first quirky thing that I have seen. Thanks for the input @akspyderman

:welcome:

Sometimes, its the simple things that can cause glitches.

PS. My sister lives in Palmdale.

I had the tachometer reading mismatch almost two weeks ago after gassing up with the Spyder ignition in accessory mode, on but no lights burning; first time I'd ever tried it. A key walk at a butt break set everything right. OP have suggested pulling out the safety card to protect the cluster if the sun's going to be beating on it.

I was thinking about using the card. I want to get a travel cover as well. Thanks @jaybros

Had this happen to me last year. Turned on the key and no display on the screen. I waited a little then hit the mode button and I was able to start it. After riding a short distance I could see the display coming back but it was streaky. It sat in the direct sun for about an hour. It was not terribly hot out either.
Now I pull the safety card down if the sun is shining on the instrument cluster.
