• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 RT Ltd display shuts off - back to dealer!

Well further update on the screen issues travesty....Yes BRP sent a new cluster to my dealer. Got it installed and cant get it coded to the bike ( requires VIN ) Dealer is now unhappy with BRP now too.

So they sent the file(s) off to BRP to get them to fix it .....may be BRP can remote in to fix it over the 'net. Dunno.... but I am not gonna accept a bike back with screen issues. BRP needs to fix this now..this is not a dealer issue it is a manufacturer issue and incompetence and poor QC.....

Dealer has also mentioned that other BRP products like some of the new 4 wheelers use the exact same screen ....and yes they are having similar problems screen goes blank, issue with BT and WIFI not working as well as ACP not working at all either.

BRP has a major problem and i believe it is a hardware issue with truly faulty parts.

I think BRP is running blind, don't you think they would have tested this idea out and sent instructions to the dealer on what process is necessary to replace a cluster? I guess not, just like shipping out Spyders and other BRP products with the 10.25" screen only not having a working cluster screen, and thinking "Oh, we can update the firmware over WIFI when we get it done." You need working WIFI for that, and I read here that there are owners who can't connect to their WIFI...

I don't believe this is an Apple License issue, like I read here and there, too many problems not related to ACP, like my passenger heated handlebars; heated seat plugged into the wrong plug; music from my iPhone not operational, but it was when I purchased the Spyder; the power button for the radio that comes and goes (mostly goes)....

Yah you would think so wouldn't you? Dealer did say they followed the BRP procedure, but it simply would not code to the bike. And they have updated their BUDS2 system and there was no issue with the BossWeb accounts for BUDS2. MB has similar issues with OTA updates for the many systems on their expensive cars... failure and then to top it off, the batteries go flat over night! Oh wait, that's the crappy 300CCA Jaiiui Chinese batteries BRP is installing on all their units that're failing right at the end of the 6-month battery warranty.

Truly disastrous situation for both MB and BRP. :banghead:

Just got back from picking up the S2S. Screen and connectivity seems to work. ACP doesn't nor did the dealer say it would, except when BRP finally releases it. No date yet for ACP

So for those who have Spyders in the Atlanta area, I can recommend Extreme Propulsion in Cartersville GA. Excellent mechanics. great people. I think they are the only Can Am Platinum dealer in Georgia - they handle the entire line of BRP/Can Am products from ATV's and 4 wheelers, all on-road, boats, and even SkiDoos/Seadoos. And they have been in business for 15 years - just built a new facility to showcase everything.

Highly recommend them....

Just to update the thread - screen still working. BT still working. No word on ACP yet, or the other fixes for the codes etc.

I did get my Sena 50S to connect, just as long as I connect that first, then the phone. Gotta love Mesh technology out to 1/2 mile...

I don't want BRP connected to my Spyder for the ACP, I'm afraid they will make it worse!

I got my S2S in March and like you all still waiting for updates. My WIFI connects to house (but no updates available) but the biggest problem is still no Bluetooth. I thought that would at least be fixed by now.

There is a rumor out that BRP may have some form of compensation for early owners.

We'll have to wait and see (like ACP)
