• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That Liberty a gas or diesel?
Gas...
I tried out a diesel in Pennsylvania (you couldn't get one in NY)
It sounded about like a tray-full of dishes getting thrown down the cellar stairs when it started...

But it sure did PULL HARD, when I put it up against a real steep grade...

Joe,
Keep it down... I don't want to let her know about all of this foolishness!

They get quieter..much quieter after they warm up. But you don't want a CRD Liberty. I had one. Great little SUVs...until you start chewing up torque converters. That's why you rarely see them on the road. Just too much money to maintain now that they are out of warranty. Miss that thing. Too bad Jeep never actually fixed them.

I do remember it quieting down; once all of the squirrels got to pulling together...
Gee ... Jeep didn't fix a known and ongoing problem with a vehicle; does that sound familiar??? :D

Gotta be honest. I never cared for the newer Jeeps. I like the older Kaiser/Jeep. The CJ5, the Gladiator truck etc.

Personally, I'm partial to the CJ3...LOL. My wife loved the Liberty when it first cam out, but the seats hurt my back and butt real badly, so I said "No!" She reminds me of that every so often when she sees one. I should reconsider...these daily hour-each-way trips to the house project in rotten winter weather make me long for a 4WD vehicle.

I've had an MB, a 2A, a 5, two Wranglers, a Comanchee, the three Libertys, and a Grand cherokee...
"It's a Jeep Thing...":D
My 2A, and your 3 are about the most similar; chief difference was in the windshields...
