• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did my demo ride yesterday!

Went to the International Motorcycle Show in San Antonio and demo'd the Spyder.
I wanted to make sure it fit me, and that I might be able to make the brake work with my foot/ankle restrictions

When I sat on it for the first time, I knew it was a winner! Fits me GREAT!!!
I was able to make the brake work in the parking lot course, so decided to take it out on the road demo. What a blast!

The only 2 things that kind of surprised me were
1) It seemed to "hunt" or weave while driving. It did seem to be less obvious when I conciously eased up on my grip.
2) It leaned alot more out of the corners than I thought. Guess Ill get my exercise leaning into turns on this bike!!! LOL

Now I just gotta decide yellow or red!!!

Red! Red! Red! Red! Just a subliminal suggestion for you... ;D

I agree with both your observations. The "hunting" kind of surprised me too, but I think it is because although it has handlebars, it doesn't handle like a motorcycle, and that took me some getting used to.

Cheers,

Bruce

Little John, relaxxxxx. I know what you mean with the "hunting", once i learned to relax and just hold the grips instead of trying to impose my will, the hunting was reduced greatly. And yep, gotta continue the lean on corners. Us southern folk, not adept at snow mobiles, or haven't spent a lot of time on off road quads have a learning curve to go through.....trust me, the more seat time you get the easier it is and the bigger the grin!!! ;D  :spyder: Ummm, red, red, red, red, red.....lol, after seeing your avatar this long, i really can't see you having as much fun on anything but RED. ;D

Lookin good, little John!

Get the color that you think you'll like the best. I'm getting the Yellow, but Red is also good. Hey, are you getting the regular Spyder, or the SE5?

Derwin

Thanks all!!!!

In all actuality, I will be going to the dealer next weekend to clear up some issue with my deposit. He originally only took $500, but has since been informed by BRP that they are continuing the $1000 deposit that goes directly to BRP.

In all reality, I will probably take the first non silver one he gets in a delivery, so will probably get yellow.

Ill keep yall posted!!!!

Yellow is the fast color.

Silver is the cool color.

(Though I'm thinking of following my suggestion to LittleJohn and buying all new panels. Black.

Then black will be the cool color.)

I think ALL the colors are pretty cool on this machine. But I think Yellow is by far the best IMHO. Heck, I'd take a purple one with pink highlights! Well, on second thought....not so cool! ;D :doorag:

Silver looks like a machine....yellow a toy....but red, that looks mighty fine !!

One of the first things I plan to do when I get mine is pait the silver pieces black. I just saw that you can get flat black panels but it mite be cheaper to have a paint shop just paint the pieces. Next will be the rims, Might sound crazy but I wonder if you can put 14" car rims in the front. Just looking for some black rims with a chrome lip. Mite have to change my name to NightSpyderRyder. ;D

LOL! I don't think Yellow looks like a "toy", and I don't think Lamont would agree with that either. Color likes and dislikes is nothing more or less than an opinion based on a PERSONAL preference. I happen to like ALL of the colors, but Yellow is my PERSONAL preference. I wouldn't even begin to disparage another persons choice in colors, or call their choice a "toy". But that's just me. :doorag:

Hey, you can call mine a toy, a machine, a breadbox, whatever you want!!!! LOL
Like you said, color is the owners preference and nothing more. (PS, Id take that purpole one with pink accents if you dont...LOL)
