• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This house needed to go so the owners could build a new one on the site. Great training for our dept this morning.

We did 8 room and contents fires, then let it go when we were done with the training. Good stuff. It's really too bad that there are so many restrictions that keep us from doing more of this. Fortunately the owner was willing to jump through the proper hoops.

This brings back memories of my shipboard firefighting training in the Navy. It was hard work, but a lot of fun.

Nope, there's actually quite a bit of "red tape" to get through to get the proper permits to burn a house down on purpose these days. Had all the bases covered.
