Did 3" risers make your ride even better?

I have a 2008 GS Silver/Black Spyder, I have to say this is the most fun I have had in years on a bike. Lately I've been putting in some long rides and my shoulders and arms get tired. I've ordered the 3" risers that should be in anyday now.

My question is are you pleased? Is your ride better? More comfortable? Love this forum and read it for hours at a time.... Thanks everyone in advance for any reply's

RISER

i had the RISER installed a week after i purchased mine and it's a tremendous help... my lower back would get uncomfortable even after short rides... :gaah:

i'm 6ft. 2in. and the riser puts the grips egg-zak-lee where i need them...

the part itself is not that expensive, but installation is... mine was 4 yrs ago, and i think the riser was around $40 and installation was about $200.... :banghead:

Custom Dynamics 4 1/2" Easy Risers

I installed these on my '08 prior to Spyderfest 2013. They've worked phenomenally for me. No more back or shoulder discomfort. BTW, I didn't have the 1" BRP riser so I was able to use the 4 1/2" ones.

That is the first mod I did and more than well worth the money. Extremely pleased with the results. If you ask me, it's the riding position it should have came with in the first place.

Not yes but HELL YES

I am 6'2" and can tell you the Heli bar risers with the BRP 1 inch riser combo made a
world of difference... I would have sore sholders and back before, it changed the
seating position to an upright position and took all the pressure off my body.
I went with the heli bars type because I did not want to cut the handle bars.

I hope so, my bike is getting them on this weekend.. I wonder if they also help with knee issues due to sitting position??

Does anybody know if they are available for the RT's? I also would think with the bars further back it would improve the sitting position on the RT. My back and shoulders also get to aching some , especially on the longer rides. If they are available for the RT please give me the website to order. Thanks

RIVCO FLOORBOARDS

I have 2 bionic knees hahahah had mine replaced, the floor boards are a must. boy did they work out
well but the combo of the bar risers and floor boards is the way to go.... I went with the Rivco brand
I just like the way they look but their are many out there that are just fine and work well....

As a previous owner of both a 2008 and 2009 GS/RS, I put three inch risers on both machines. The original 1 1/2's that BRP offered did nothing. The three inch gave both of us a more upright riding position, and I was very happy with them.

3" Risers

We put the 3" Heli risers on our 2010 RS-S and made a big difference on how my back felt after taking a ride. These riser's reduced the stress on my lower back. I am 5'9" tall.

I have Heli risers on my 2009 GS SE5 and I think they actually make it safer to ride as it takes pressure off your arms allowing better control. I also would recommend Seal Floorboards as they add a lot of stability in the turns.
