Check your battery connections... The DPS is the single largest consumer of power, and it often gets... cranky, when it starts feeling shortchanged...
Otherwise; could you have had some critters chewing on the wiring?:dontknow:

BOB IS RIGHT..........i was get'n code up da Ka-Zoo on my RS..... checked every freak'n thing :gaah:with a meter.... NOTHING... :yikes:
couldn't find a 'fault'.... started to :bdh: and decided 2 call BIG BIRD in AZ..... he told me 2 check my battery connections..... BINGO...... tightened the connections, and PROBLEM SOLVED..... :bowdown:

That was very wise of you. You can indeed learn a lot from BIG BIRD. My son watched him religiously when he was three years old, and now he is the president of his own technology corporation earning Big Bucks. :thumbup:

i'm think'n we're NOT talk'n 'bout da the same BIG BIRD......
my BIG BIRD lives in AZ, and is 67 yrs old, all beat up, and worn down, and grumpy n mean as a cobra with athlete-foot....

I think I do both.
Trade for a F3 at a different dealer.

Get rid of the dealer and post on the internet. these are not cheap machines.

I see you have a F3. Any comments good and bad before I trade? Friend told me they got rid of the threaded Limp Mode. True?

Hi Dave here, You know you may have more luck getting REAL HELP with your problem if you were to put
where you are located, using United States is like saying Planet Earth ????
Maybe some one near you could come and help out if they had some idea where you are located
maybe the City and State... Spyder Riders are always helpful

I switched from 2 to 3 wheels over a year ago (left AK amputation long time ago).
Well, the Spyder RS-S SE5 was the ticket. Rode it several long trips.
About 6 weeks ago, preparing for a 2k trip, it went to "Limp mode."
ABS Fault
VSS Fault
Check DPS
Took it home and pulled codes --- "no active codes"
After about ~5 miles later it went back to limp.
Pulled codes while engine light was blinking:
C0044
P2545
U0122
Took it to the local dealer (Team Mancuso Powersports SW) .
6 weeks later, they still have no clue, other than there must be s a wiring problem.
All that @ $99/ hr.
I asked them to give me a trade-in for a F 3, but the can't figure what to give me for my RS.
What to do?
