• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Demo Model 2014

Go for it!

Well, My opinion is that you should be 100% happy with the bike first, but if it checks all of your boxes then grab it! That sounds like a pretty good deal.

Sounds like a good deal. We bought a 2012 Demo with 1200 miles on it and it has given us good service. The only question to ask is when did the bike go on demo at the dealer, they give six months extra warranty for the demo time and I didn't know at the time. My bike was put out to demo in March and we bought it in November so I thought I had time to get the extended warranty but when I went to buy it I found out my regular warranty had run out. But thanks to a great dealer in Henderson NV (Proshop Powersports) BRP let me buy the extended warranty anyway. Just get an idea when your warranty will run out on paper in case you want to extend the warranty. Good Luck on your deal!

Thanks Folks

First off, thanks for all the sage advice. I too thought of it as a no brainer but wanted to hear from some experienced owners first. On the subject of warranty, it looks like BRP has a promotion going right now where all new 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 models get the two year standard warranty along with the two year extended BEST warranty. Buyers also get the four year roadside assistance. So I think I'm covered on the warranty side of it. Working on a deal for the heated comfort seat and a drivers backrest to go with it. We will see how it goes.

Thanks again for your input.

Run away

I would run away very fast!!!!
But not before you tell me what dealer it is, go for it and enjoy

Go for the 2014RTS-SE6 you will not regret it, and you will not look back!

My first spyder was a 2012RTS-SE5, then I traded up to a 2014RTS-SE6( took a Demo ride on a 14RTS-SE6 in Springfield, MO at Spdyerfest) Cognac, and I am not looking back. Also, get the B.E.S.T Warranty and have the dealer thru in some extras. Deanna

Folks, I have the chance to pick up a 2014 RTS SE6 for a deeply discounted price. The only "issue" is that it has 380 miles on it from demo rides. My question to you? Is it worth it? I know a lot depends on the price. I can get a 2015 for about $4K more for the same model. I only demo'd an ST and treated it well. Although I am sure others beat the crap out of them on demo rides. If you were in my shoes, would you take the chance on the 2014 demo model? Is it worth the discounted price? Thanks.

I would!
