There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you're REALLY careful about it; just go from dealer to dealer, taking bikes out for test rides...

The quote did mention that these were "test" machines.
The issue I quoted from was the December 2013 issue. The cover has a picture of the Harley Ultra Limited. The quote I referred to comes from the bottom of page 39 and the top of page 40.
I have already disposed of my September issue so don't remember exactly what they said about the Spyder there.

The link says this is on location and Danica Patrick will be rydeing the :spyder2: tomorrow. Wonder if she will have any new ryder "learning curve" issues? :dontknow: Hoping that all goes well though. :thumbup:

If she ends up with a :spyder2:, I am guessing that she won't have to pay a dime. Also have wondered if Leno paid for his serial #1 unit. That is one of the perks for the rich and famous. They get a lot of free "stuff". To paraphrase Bob in the next post: I don't begrudge these people either. But I also wish I was in on the "take".

The way I understand it Leno made receipt of #1 and an additional Spyder part of the bargain for his work in promoting the Official Launch. He was a pivotal part of the proceedings.

The December article is definately a re-hash of the September article. Shame on Rider magazine for pulling that one. They used about half the same pictures, and paraphrased a whole bunch of stuff that was written in the September article. Even though I am an avid subscriber/reader, I don't save the back issues any more.

2014 RT's
I just received a call from the Sales Manager at Central Florida Powersports. He advised me there was a truck loaded with several RT's on it's way to their dealership. He said they would try and have at least one of them assembled by Monday, or sooner, depending on the date that the truck arrives. They are receiving at least two different colors, because one of them was the one I requested, which was different than all of the rest that had made a deposit and pre-ordered back in October. I would expect that several will be posting this same information, as I was only one of probably 15 that has placed a deposit and pre-ordered a 2014 RT. MERRY CHRISTMAS to all who are waiting, Santa is on his way!!!!
