• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Delivery schedule on 14 Rts

That's great for the 2014 owners, but what are they going to do for the 2013 owners?
??? Don't understand your question. Weren't you asked to bend over and grab your ankles when you bought the revolutionary, newly redesigned, 2013 Spyder? What more you want? Read all the posts last year, about this time, where all the know-it-alls on here were singing its praises - even before they rode one or took a 10 minute ride.

You have a one-of-a-kind. Don't be Sad! Be Happy!

Yes, on really hot days the heat directed towards my lower right leg can be a minor annoyance on my 2012 RT-S SM5, but there are a lot of motorcycles (thinking Harley-Davidson) where the heat doesn't disperse that well off the engine when you are sitting still in traffic.

But no --- everyone bitched so BRP redesigned the exhaust system in 2013 to give you a unique riding experience. I am jealous. And now for 2014 - they redesigned it even further leaving your model year a kinda odd-man out type of ride while super discounting the remaining inventory to devalue your ride even more then normal.

Read CONSUMERS REPORTS annual auto issue and/or their monthly auto reviews. They refuse to give new models (or models that undergo a major redesign) any kind of reliability ratings until they prove themselves. Yet, people are already singing the praises of the 2014's.

The lemmings are already walking off the cliff - angling to be the first in the country with a model that has experienced manufacturing difficulties already.

That said - anyone who puts out the money we all did when we bought our Spyder should expect it to live up to the hype, but if it doesn't, I am sure we will hear about it soon enough! Trouble is - if you are one of the lemmings it is too late - you already bought your new Spyder. Those of us who will wait a respectable time to learn from your experiences will be able to make an informed buying decision.

Spyder....that is not correct I spoke to Renee at Brp yesterday production ( mass) starts Monday)
Would you quit calling Renee at BRP. You have been speaking to a synthetic being, i.e. a robot programmed to listen to your questions and provide the appropriate response that best fits your question that leaves you satisfied.

With all the people commenting on here "I JUST SPOKE TO BRP" how the heck can they be building any new Spyders? They are too busy talking on the phone to build any!

2014 Delivery Dates

I just hung up the telephone and I did not talk to Renee I talked to Cherrie she said, Believe it when the fork lift drops yours off the back of the truck or spears the crate with the forks.;)

Now that is advice that makes the most sense I have heard. A pot boils when it boils...no sooner or later.

:dontknow::dontknow::dontknow:

Quote from Rider Magazine: "Some of the test machines had trouble idling after numerous photo passes in the swampy heat (they were testing in Florida), and later BRP reps told us that they found the PCV valve had been installed incorrectly (um, backwards) on those bikes".

______ Happens sometimes I guess. :gaah::dontknow:

Bob, I was at my dealer today and was told that some dealer in New York had received a shipment of 2014 RT's They also said that PITBULL in Missouri had received a shipment of RT's. They expected a shipment here in Central Fl. before Christmas. It would appear that they are finally shipping a few RT's so there is hope on the horizon.

If production on the 2014 RT's starts on December 9th and Pitbull already has some, they must have the demos. Just Sayin :dontknow:

Cruzr Joe

The December issue of Rider magazine has a test ride of the 2014 RT. And they even found a boo boo.

I'm pretty sure that was not the current Dec. issue but the Sept. issue and those were not production RT's. They did have an issue with some of them having the PCV valve installed backwards.

They don't have any yet, I hope that Pitbull gets theirs soon so I can get mine before Bob does in NY. :ohyea:
