• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Deflector from MadStad

Just returned from a trip to Magog, Quebec: nice protection on the hands, elbows and shoulders for wind and water. IMHO, a keeper. :2thumbs:

My TWO CENTS.
I asked for the metal.
These are proto test and Doc and I got a set for test.
Yes, they can be made to see thru, ( plastic ) however, I think te plastic would have too much vibration with a single mount screw.
I rode in rain with no gloves at 70+ and no rain sting on hands.
As to drag.. Did not notice any loss of gas mileage.
Keeper for me???? You bet.

Do you have any idea when Mark will have these available?:popcorn::popcorn:

How do you know they cause too much drag? I've only produced two sets so far, and I didn't send either one to you.

Didn't mean to offend you. I apologize if that's how it came off. I do see great benefit for those that will be in exreme comditions. But they look draggy to me. Scotty makes good points, but looking at them they will produce drag. Again, it depends on what shield you are using and other factors. Do I have a wind tunnel to prove the drag theory? No. This is my opinion. Like anything else, some will like it and some will not.

Okay-- but why? Is there really that much wind that people want to block it all? Isn't the idea to have some open air experience?

Sorry -- but I just don't get the need to block all the air-- like the silly BRP wind deflectors.

:agree:

Why do we like blocking the wind?? It's called Western NY..... Without it we are relegated to riding in the circle below and most of us like to ride more than 3 months a year.... Some people put their spyders away some like to ride 12 months. Thats why we need em...
