• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like it! I love my Madstad, but I did notice more wind on my hands when I swapped the F-1 slider for the Madstad. I could use these in the cooler months.

Too much drag. Don't want 'em!! They do look comfortable though for the long cruise I must say.

Okay-- but why? Is there really that much wind that people want to block it all? Isn't the idea to have some open air experience?

Sorry -- but I just don't get the need to block all the air-- like the silly BRP wind deflectors.

I think it might be a good feature when it gets cold...:dontknow:

I think this is a great idea for those who ride in cold weather...one thing I hate most about cold weather riding is my hands freezing!!!! It's not so much the temp. being the culprit...it's the wind on the hands...this method will certainly help!

I use heated gloves and mountaineering gloves. They do look draggy

I read that it takes 15 hp to push a set of Honda civic mirrors through the wind at 65 mph

Maybe a smaller flap would do

I would not jump to the conclusion that these deflectors would increase drag. The air in this area between the mirror stalks and a taller windshield is very turbulent. If the deflectors smooth the airflow, they could actually reduce drag. They would definitely reduce the wind resistance on your arms and hands, further reducing drag. I agree that they would be a great help in the cold, much like the deflectors BRP has built into their ultra shield and has added to the RT. I like the fact that they can be taken off readily for summer, too.:thumbup::thumbup:

Three questions enter my mind. Will they work with the ESI "Up & Out" mirror extenders, and will they work with other brands of windshields? Finally, do they limit your vision significantly when looking in that direction?

Scotty,

As always, good points...I wonder if he can make them see-through instead of the black (hopefully, the black is just for testing purposes)...
