• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kind of miss all the posting. Numbers have dropped off dramatically. I would assume all the Spyders

except for the Lower Lower 48 are "snug as a bug in a rug". How many are fortunate enough to be able to

ride year around? How many trailer there Spyders to the Lower Lower 48 to ride?

I guess the others will just have to settle for Ice Fishing and Snowmobiling.

Not much to read here at six o'clock in the morning with my first cup of coffee. Just can't depend on those

disputes and overly strong opinions anymore to
:yikes::yikes: wake me up.

Keep posting and stay in touch with your Arachnid Buddies!

I would be riding right now... but My Spyder wouldn't start at the gym the other night. Called Roadside assistance no help there. Probably the ground wire or maybe the battery... It's still under warranty, so we put it on the trailer and towed it to the dealer just in case. They said 2 weeks before they can even look at it. Feels kind of ridiculous to me, but I guess that's what I get for taking it to the dealership.

Winter has arrived here in NW Iowa, so the Spyder is tucked away until spring. It is keeping the boat and the Kawasaki Nomad company. Roads around here get slick, so I stay off them on the bikes. Two cars were in the ditch this morning, on my way to work.

Christmas is fast approaching and I have been busy buying presents and going to a few Christmas parties. I did take my Spyder out for a few hours riding last weekend and I hope to be riding this weekend. At present no snow just really cold, but that hasn't stopped me from taking my Spyder out for a ride.

I broke my ankle end of August and did not touch anything Spyder till about end of October.
Back to riding again now though.

Bob

 I'm glad to hear that you're back, and "up on three" again.
How's the ankle feeling?

Thanks!
All good. Pretty much 100% recovered. But when it gets cold (cold is relative here in Ca.) I do feel some pain but just freaking ignore it :)

That's preposterous! Snow Tires on Motorcycles and Spyders. I am sitting here trying to get a visual on that. Snow tires without studs are pretty useless. At least if you get snow you could Snowmobile. I always enjoyed that the two times I lived in Edina and Prior Lake MN. I probably enjoyed the Snowshoe we drank at every pitstop we made more. (Snowshoe is half peppermint Schnapps and half Christian Brothers Brandy) We used it for self preservation to keep from freezing to death. Most of our Snowmobiling was done at night. Nothing like a cool crisp night with a full moon.

Just to clarify the law is that all motor vehicles must have snow tires on by December 15 in Quebec. People who have bikes usually use this as a gauge that it is the time To put the bike away for the winter, as will a lot of people are not covered by insurance during the winter months. So I do not believe the law is specific to bikes.
