• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There are issues and then there are ISSUES! It would have come as a huge shock to me if BRP didn't address something like this immediately. All other issues are by comparison annoyances. Not addressing something of this magnitude could be very damaging to their reputation, the entire Spyder line and worse...a person's life. Glad they are dealing with it properly and huge kudos to the dealer as well. Had their staff not understood the magnitude of the situation, the case would have been handled "in the order received".

Any more news on this available yet? :bbq::bbq:

Not yet Bob...... The replacement DPS should be in by Wednesday next week (my b-day) and hopefully I'll have it back by next Friday when the temp climbs back up to 70 !!!!!!!!

As a new Spyder owner, I was thinking maybe I had made a bad decision when I started reading all the messages on this forum about how bad BRP responds to issues. It is comforting to hear you say BRP stepped up and is making things right for you.
Bernie

A lot of what gets done revolves around how good your authorized Spyder dealer is in communicating between you and BRP. The best dealers will work with you to resolve the problem. The good ones will try their best to resolve a possible warrenty problem with BRP.

Death Wobble

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday 10/20/12.
2011 RT going about 50 front tires shaking back and fourth had
to slow down to about 10 then it stopped. That happened 3 times.
Also had to stop fast one time and it happened on the hard braking.
Was one mile from the dealer and dropped it off with and called for a ride
home. They had not heard of this. Well see on Mon what's up. And yes it scares
the heck out of you.

Got the Spyder back !!!!!! Everything seems fine and like they said, it was at no charge to me. It took 7 total, but only five working days to turn this bike around and you can't ask for a much better turn around than that. Thank you BRP and Gable Motorsports. :ohyea:

I'm glad it turned out this way for you Randy.

Do I see a ski-doo in your future?

I think that his blood is still "AC" green...
Glad to hear that your bike is back home...
Now hunker down and wait out Sandy before hitting the highways!
