• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealers out of the loop.

Called my dealer to ask a couple of simple questions on the 2015. He had no idea having received no information from BRP. I sent him the 2015 link from here. He was most appreciative.

You would think BRP would have the means to do a global roll out.

some employees don't have access to all the information, or don't bother to look it up. I know this from experiance of working for a canam dealer.

Some of the dealers are still at the show...
Give them a chance to get home, brush their teeth, and head back to the shop! :D

If your dealer had attended Club BRP he would indeed have all that info. BRP isn't likely to "jump" for those who aren't with the program

The big wigs at my dealer haven't returned to work from the F3 launch.
The sales staff told me their would be a roll out meeting on the F3 as well as other information on the current models yesterday 9/23.
At this moment they are only spewing the info they can gather from the website.

It's probably too early to ask them anything about it until they return and set up shop. IMO it appeared to be a haphazard launch. It was too late in the day and the local dealers through out the day had empty pockets as far as info goes. I'm sure the ones in attendance had a blast but it was comical on our end.

After reading the info on their website and Spyderlovers...... We pretty much know it already...atleast the basics.

Why would you say that ??
It seems well orchestrated this year. Pricing, configurators, even the accessories catalogue are online right now during the Club event.

Previously we had to wait days, weeks and even months for some of the above.

BRP pulled it off very well, they knew exactly how to market their 2015 line up. 'SPY' photos and all.

Everyone seems to expect instant gratification, these days . . . I wonder how many folks, today, would have survived in the days when virtually every catalog had the statement: "Allow six to eight weeks for shipping."

I'm not doubting BRP's ability to market their line-up at all. I love their products especially the Spyder.
Behind the scenes it was well orchestrated and well planned. They shot their videos and had many high res pictures ready to go, website ready for roll out. Everyone in attendance were privy to that info at an earlier rate which is fair.

Compared to their previous slower launches it might have been done better this time, but it was announced to us too late in the day.
IMO, The launch actually happened earlier that day. We (the rest) were kept in the dark until the fun was over and info was finally rolled out. I was on these boards and others yesterday and people were twiddling their thumbs waiting and speculating while it was actually happening.
That is a launch fail to the public. Should have been done in the morning/early afternoon like most of the other launches so the rest of the public can enjoy. Most gear heads and die hard fans live for the excitement of launches. It was like a scramble last night.

In the end, the info is now out, I'm excited about the F3 and some current model enhancements, we can all move on with our future choices and BRP can only get better with launches.

I find that I am usually ahead of the curve compared to dealer information here. Thanks to SL of course.

When I brought them the spy photos of the F3 they did not have a clue. A day later, BRP released their "teaser" photo and no information. The dealer believed me then.

It was a bit of a long wait yesterday, but they released the information as promised. A lot of effort went into the release so hope most will appreciate that fact.

 :hun:

Where are you located? BRP has always opened the gates at 9:00PM EDT... :dontknow:
They probably do that so that the majority of the American Continent is up and running on all cylinders.

I agree.

nhoj stated previous launches/info in the past were delayed, which would give you the impression that they got better at releasing the info. to the public.
I'm just saying 9:00pm EDT is a pretty late launch. That's just my opinion. It seems logical to do it during business hours so to speak. I can't recall any vehicle, bike announcements being introduced that late in the day. Maybe someone can post some other instances. However, I totally understand that it might be their way of insuring people are home and their way of thinking out of the box. I totally get that.

My dealer told me there working on something hush hush and not leaking any info. On it yet. Hey maybe 2 pass. Side by side or a BIG OR...a side car...now that would be BIG.

Hi there, was curious as to what dealer you are purchasing your Spyder from. I got my first Spyder 2012 RT-S from Factory Recreation in Midland.
