• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer Rip-off?

I think Peter's comments are spot-on. There is a large dealership here that carries BRP products along with just about everything else. A few years ago I took my Spyder in for belt alignment and adjustment. They screwed it up royally. Had it hard up against the flange and way too tight. I took it back to have them fix THEIR screw-up. They fiddled with it a little and said that was the best they could do. They told me they had seen a lot of Spyders with belts riding against the flange and it was normal...... That's when I received guidance from the good people on this forum. I learned to do a lot of my own work including PROPER belt alignment and tension adjustment. Do you think that dealer would refund my money after screwing up my bike? NOOOOO!!!! Do you think I will EVER set foot in that dealership again? NOOOOOO!!! Do you think I will tell everyone interested about the poor and incompetent treatment from that dealership? YOU BET I WILL and I DO!!!!! Jim

So who was the dealer?

So who was the dealer?

Biggest dealer in Arizona for BRP. And if you want to Ride Now, don't trust them to have your bike in good riding condition. I found Nash Motorsports to be better and their Spyder mechanic, Josh, is knowledgable but scheduling any work is an exercise in patience..... Jim

... A CUSTOMER SERVICE ETHIC
You keep hearing the word "service" tossed around. "Customer Service." "Internal Revenue Service." And so on. Very puzzling.

I heard one guy say that he was raised on a cattle farm. His dad would contact the farmer down the road to bring his bull over to service the cows. THEN it all made sense.

Adds a whole new level of understanding & meaning to 'Interal Revenue Service', doesn't it?!? :roflblack:

There again....

'Service' definition:
noun

1.

the action of helping or doing work for someone.

'"millions are involved in voluntary service"

.......snip........

verb

1.

perform routine maintenance or repair work on (a vehicle or machine).

"ensure that gas appliances are serviced regularly"

2.

(of a male animal) mate with (a female animal).

"one dog could presumably service several bitches in a day"

OR...

Phrase 'Customer Service' definition:

Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during, and after a purchase.

:ohyea:

But you are right Steve. Altho I do find it is often very revealing by what a person reads into whatever someone else has written - frequently far more revealing about the 'reader' than it is about the 'writer'!
