• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer prep/destination fees

DEALER MARK-UPS

When I was about to purchase a F3-S up in the Northern CA. They wanted to $22,700 in August.
The Dealer Freight: $600
Dealer Set-up: $887
Documentation Fee: $80

In October, there was another dealer for $20,400.
Dealer Freight: $600
Handling: $749
Documentation Fee: $80.

I believe the best time to buy a bike would be in mid November or mid December. Nationwide, the Can Am Spyder F3-S is about $16,000 out the door as of November. Therefore, it all depends on when you purchase it. There are still Can Am Spyder that are brand new that are 2015.

I hope this helps...try to negotiate if you can. You can always try to find some out of state as well. I've heard that people actually bought their bike out of state, and sent back home for $500. So, it is up to you. Hopefully, this helped.
Hi I'm the poster you were quoting, Calif. is different from the rest of the US and probably the World .... Your State does not accept the NORMAL - EPA requirements and needs a special sticker (?) to be sold ( NEW ) in Calif...... You can bring one in used if has over 7500 miles on it tho ....... I bought my 2014 RT in Ill. in May of 14 ... I DID NOT pay any shipping or handling or set-up charges ( verified using BRP's price ) only a small document fee and transport plate ...... lots of others here haven't paid them either .....Sorry, Mike

Never look at the charge lines. I do my research and come up with fare number and make my out the door offer to the dealer. They either except it or not, if not, next dealer. If you have a trade, Work that deal first before you tell them what other bike your interested in, tell them only that your looking to buy something new. Figure out what the bottom line is that your willing to except. Works well.

Some how you are paying freight & delivery charges, some dealers don't show it as a line item so do. It is all figured into the price you pay but may not be broken down as a line item.

Yup! I didn't pay any of the fees, but I am sure I still did.

It all boils down to the final price you pay out the door--everything included. They can split the hairs after I am gone. As long as I was happy, it is a good deal.
