• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

dealer help

The Platinum Dealer sells more product than a non-platinum one.
They probably get better service from BRP and may also get better
cost pricing on "stuff" from them also.

I think the platinum dealer may have met more requirements from BRP as far as service, product training, etc. Seems like someone on here, maybe from a dealership, was saying that anyways.

I went looking and found the post...

BRP is not setting up every dealer in the country they are selected by BRP,and the territory manager. Check to see if the dealer is platinum certified. To be platinum certified the dealer has met criteria in service sales and parts. The platinum cert is renewed every year. BRP has on line training for the techs. The training module was recently released and it has to be taken by the tech.
I think it is by Sept 30.
Next time talk to the owner and enlighten him/her of your experience. If they blow you off then you need to ride to the next Spyder dealer. Actions like this are not tolerated at our dealership. We are only as good as our last impression.:chat:

Platinum dealer

Platinum dealers have met a criteria set by BRP. some of the requirements are completing training modules to train employees in sales, business managment, and shop techs. The dealership also has to send employees to multi day schools in each segment of the dealership. The dealer has to file a media plan with BRP for each BRP product line sold. The dealer has to attend the dealer meeting. The dealer meeting is where the new modelsare introduced and the arm twisting for unit orders begins.:yikes:
We have to obtain a score of 100 points(point values for each segment are set by BRP) to maintain the platinum status.
In return the dealer gets better coop advertising. We are able to make more in depth warranty decisions before calling BRP for approval. Only platinum dealers are listed on BRPs web site. The best part is we get paid 110% of our shop labor rate on warranty repairs. The platinum certification is expensive to obtain but it assures you that the dealer has invested in the dealership to train themselves as well as the employees.

i think the service all depends on who is doing it not on the dealer i mean the tech that has your bike on his lift:yikes::yikes:
