• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

The way I read it, you register on line with the link provided above. They send you a confirmation with the price and you can pay online. The waiver must be signed in person onsite when you pick up your registration stuff like the patch, pin, t-Shirt if ordered etc. I don’t understand why sending the waiver by mail when it specifically says it must be signed on the day of pickup. The last sentence in red on the registration form given above says what I think I just said? I might be wrong, but you pay online after they send you the bill.

For some reason, when I did the registration form online, it would not go to the payment screen. Tried it again this morning and it worked..... Modern technology at it's best

What is the wild bill me selfie contest? What does it involve? Dress up at specific places and take a selfie?

You run around taking pictures of yourself with a poster of him with you. There are all over the place! In other towns as well. Tom :spyder:

So, another round of snow coming here so the bike is still under cover for a few more weeks at least.

As I sit thinking about the rally, can anyone give an idea of what vendors have been there in the past (hopefully as an indicator of which might be there this year)? I am already spending money in my mind.

Just out of curiosity, is anyone taking their wife with them that don't ride with them? Mine doesn't ride with me, that's why I ask.

My wife is not a big fan of open riding either so we'll be taking a mini vacay from each other. I'm not sure whose looking forward to it more me or her..... :)

If I can go my wife will be with me but we are trailering up and also bringing her non riding brother, so there will times when she is in the truck with him.

I'm thinking of trailering also. I am also trying to buy a Class B RV to tow the trailer I haven't bought yet. If I can't find the right Class B, then I'll use our Acura MDX to tow.
We've been to the Deadwood/Rapid City area a few times. I'm sure the wife can find something to do.

Lots of stuff within an hour of Deadwood…. Central Hills attractions, Air & Space Museum at Ellsworth AFB, Museum of Geology at the School of Mines, Devils Tower, Spearfish Canyon, the fish hatchery in Spearfish, and Sturgis. The Open Cut in Lead is pretty cool too. It’s at the 2:50 mark of this video. https://youtu.be/KbHQHPmgaTU

If I'm luck I'll have six refueling stops between Washington (the state not the swamp) and Deadwood. But I'm planning on eight just to be safe. But I'm still waiting for my registration to clear. The last email from Michele said she got my reg form and check but is away at a conference so I'm not worried. Still lots of time.

Thanks Greg...my comment on fuel stops was not serious...it is what it is... I will head to STL first to meet up with my riding buddy, and I haven't even looked at routes from there yet. I've been to Deadwood when I lived in Denver, and ridden from Alabama to Canada via the Badlands, so am looking forward to this jaunt northwestward again, this time on 3 wheels, and meeting new friends!

I have a few "buys" in mind of the right vendors are present. You mentioned a few I'll be visiting if they show up this year.

Our check cleared per our bank statement, I assume that means our registration is golden.

I'm hoping for some lighting installs and a handlebar riser during the rally.

I'm hoping for a Baja Ron sway bar/end link upgrade myself. Maybe even a alignment
