• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Deadly Spyder Crash in Chicago

I hate to say anything bad, but usually rear ending a vehicle of any kind is a result of being too close or not paying attention to your surroundings or being distracted. Group rides are cool, and a lot of fun but they can be dangerous because you tend to be distracted by your friends and sometimes looking out for their actions in the rear view mirrors. Just speculation, but I have a feeling he was doing something aggressive and was distracted for a second, which put him into trouble. May God comfort his soul and his family's hearts...and his friend's minds for seeing and being a part of such a horrific accident.

:lecturef_smilie:.. As an x-leo I have seen it all a couple thousand times......and Vehicles SUDDENLY STOP for no apparent reason ......like the driver didn't want to kill that poor squirrel :banghead: , and this occurs more often than you might think.....Personally I avoid driving behind vehicles that are so large I can't see what's in front of THEM...............and Yes it could have completely been the Spyder operators fault .....but how about we give them the benefit of the DOUBT until more info is available....Mike

Mike,
That's true; but from looking at accident reports for over 38 years: some careful assumptions made be made based upon the facts as we know them...
The impact speed was high enough, that they weren't tailgating the SUV. If they had been do that; the speed differential wouldn't have been high enough for this kind of impact...
They were moving, and came upon a situation in the road that they were unprepared for...

...And it pains me to say that!

At least he didn't die alone. His friends were there to comfort him, hopefully. Prayers for his family.:pray::pray: Tom :spyder:
