There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Day Long Saddle ?

WE are thinking about the DayLong with driver backrest for our SE5, are they as comfortable as they advertise, and do they get it right the first time? Any and all comments would be greatly appreciated as i consider this big bucks for something you can not try in advance. I have a bad back, and the Spyder got me back on the road, but i feel like i am sitting on a ball and roll in curves, think dished out with the wings would be a big help and i am sure the DayLong is softer than the stock seat.:chat:

I LOVE my Day Long. It is not about soft though, it is about how it takes the pressure off your tail bone while riding. It supports your whole butt. Yes, they got it right the first time for both bjt and me. One thing to consider, when I first got on it, I was thinking I would have to send it back for adjustment. But that is because I was so used to riding the stock. I gave it a week and decided, it was just right. I did not have them do the passenger seat as I never ride two up but just make sure when you send photos, you include your passenger and their height and weight and inseam and sitting position as well as yours. It is by far one of my best mods for the long hauls, this seat in combo with my NMN risers and my highway boards are exactly what makes the long trips really enjoyable.

I have the day long and it is great. You need to contact them and talk over the options. They build it to your specs. if you want to be higher up or farther back they will do that. I did do the entire seat with a driver backrest. The back rest does not appear to be removable though. With the changes I made from the stock ridding position and adding the driver backrest I reduced the seating area for the passenger. If your passenger is a small lady or child it is ok, but if they are a normal adult I don't have enough room for a comfortable ride for the passenger. Don't skimp on the options you select just to save a dollar, you won't be happy and thus won't enjoy your ridding and after all that is why you are making the change. Do it right th first time. Enjoy your new seat.:2thumbs:

:agree: Not so much tailbone pressure for me but more like saddle sores that are not an issue anymore.

Took me about a week to get used to mine. we ride two up a lot of the time. When two up I remove the driver back rest and use those natural cushions of my better half. We both like the Day long saddle a bunch.

I love my Daylong Saddle!! I can ride for long periods now with no discomfort. They did get it right the first time for me. I got the driver backrest and it fits perfectly. I can move around on the seat with no problem. Their customer service was excellent. I had a lot of questions and they spent a lot of time helping me find what I really wanted. It is worth every penny.

Have had Day Long Saddles on at least 5 bikes over the years and they have all been great! The only problem is having to send your seat to CA and the resulting down time while it is being built. With the last bike, I took a couple of garden kneeling pads and sat on that. Not much in the way of beauty, but it was functional!

Just ordered the new saddle from BRP. The picture looks good, and I like the idea of it using the stock mount. I've sat on the Corbin and like it, but I'm not too happy about the two separate pieces. Dealer said I could return it if I wasn't satisfied, and the price was right.

The wife and I both like our Day Long seat. It's harder than stock but has been very comfy so far. We got the double and seems to have more room for the passenger.:ohyea:

Nancy ordered one today, too. We'll see what it is like, when and if it ever gets here. Delivery date unknown at BRP right now, their system just says "back-ordered". Figure it can't be worse than any Corbin "Brick" I've ever owned. She can always sell it if she doesn't like it, or hang it on the garage wall (only place there is still room).

Day-Long

I have been using Day-Long saddles for several decades on my bikes. For me it has been the only seat that allows my brain to decide when the riding day is over, instead of my hurting butt.

I have the Corbin two-piece seat. I like the idea that I can very easily remove the back seat to gain access to the two brake reservors under the seat. Impossible with the factory seat.

Isn't it nice that there are choices?;)

What highway boards do you have and could you post a link to the vendor please.

Thanks.
