Dave & Teddy's Most Excellent Adventures 2012

Continuation- Small World, Spyder Infestation at work, or so I thought

That sounds familiar. Have you posted that before?
Very observant of you, as I had posted something similar, not word for word but close. That was the backstory for what was to come. Here's the continuation: So yesterday was my first day back at work, and as Im busily working away, one of our ForkLift drivers stops by to welcome me back. As we chit chat, she continues to tell me, "You know, you started something here." To which, I ask, "What do you mean?" Well at first, yours was the only Spyder I ever saw in the lot, then I started seeing a brand new white one, and now, theres like six of them out there:yikes:." I was dumbfounded, as we work at a Ford Manufacturing Plant with many Die-Hard Harley riders and many of them don't consider the Spyder to be a bike, so it was shocking for me to think that in the 3 months Ive been gone, we'd get so many new Spyder Owners all in one location. Well, we finished chatting, but one thing stuck with me. She had said, "Ive seen the big white one, a silver one, a couple of black ones and a burgandy one even:shocked:." Huh, thats not a Spyder color:dontknow: Well, we left it at that, and when quitting time came about, I was looking forward to seeing all these Spyders:2thumbs: Ha Ha, jokes on me, she was confusing traditional trikes with Spyders, as when I went to leave, sure enough, 6 trikes were in the bike lot, but not one of them was a Spyder :roflblack::roflblack:

So disgusted with myself right now, but its not a surprise

Well, it was right at 55 degrees on my ryde in this morning, the coolest I've ryden since winter time & before my surgery. When I went to put on my BRP ryding jacket with the liner :shocked:I couldn't get the damn thing to even come close to zipping up:opps: I knew laying around and not doing much for the past 3 months, that I had gained some weight:opps: but that was just :banghead:FRUSTRATING:banghead: to say the least:mad: So, I unzipped the liner & continued on with a somewhat chilly 20 mile ryde in to work this morning, feeling down-trodden & defeated:( At least I had a smile when I pulled up to the bike parking area & for the first time, got to see my co-workers Brand New White Limited RT there in the lot, with its half cover on it, looking like it was waiting there by itself to greet us:spyder: 2 peices of eye candy now:2thumbs:

Kind of a sad reality story, but it had us both in tears laughing so hard

So my first day back, I was explaining to Mary, the only other co-worker in my department, how I really didn't WANT to come back to work, but financially HAD to, seeing as I had been off for over the past 3 months, and disability is about 1/2 of our regular pay and that bills were getting behind & all that kind of BS., which she understood. Not really thinking about it, as I was eating some crackers, I asked if she would like some? She had a look of disbelief on her face & I half jokingly said, "What, its all I can afford right now" with a little laugh. She just giggled, shaking her head as she walked away. Well yesterday, I packed my lunch & brought it in with me, which I didn't use to do before my leave, so Mary wasn't use to see this. I have my own break-table on my side of the department, and she has her own on her side, so we usually keep to ourselves for the most part, chit-chatting throughout the day. She stopped by to talk for a bit and she saw on my table that I had packed my lunch, but from where she was sitting, she totally got the :shocked:WRONG:shocked: idea. From her vantage point, all she could see is that I had once again brought in crackers, but also a disposeable bowl, a can opener and a can of (what she thought looked like) dog food:shocked: OMG!!! IT WAS PRICELESS:roflblack:Again, from her vantage point, she couldn't see that it was actually a can of Ravioli & from the back of the can, she thought it was actually a can of Teddys Special diet food:roflblack: She looked at me with total sincerity on her face and said, "OMG, honey, I didn't know it was that bad, you don't have to eat that, I'll take you out shopping for food when we got off today." I was perplexed, not realizing what she was thinking & just looked at her with a puzzled expression on my face:shocked: She then pointed to the can and asked, isn't that Teddys dog food in a can? I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING SO HARD:roflblack: I couldn't even speak & just turned the can around so she could see the front of it & she too BUSTED OUT LAUGHING:roflblack: SO HARD, we BOTH ended up with tears in our eyes:roflblack::roflblack: My sides still hurt a little today, but man o man, that was just priceless, had to share that one with y'all:thumbup:

No further details will be given to this comment.

Some canned dog food is rather good, and many animals in America eat better than many people in America. When you have to eat, sometimes you have to eat :)

However, good story :)

Sad Truth,

Chance, our sweet dog has more food in the house than we do. Between the dog food and treats he gets. Our neighbors think all
my wife does is fix bacon. She's always out side asking Chance (want a piece of bacon?) What's wrong with this story? Man! I'm
getting hungry and going to lunch.

I'm just NOT right, like in the head, you know

I was googling to find an answer for another post, and ended up finding this gem of the World Wide Web. If you page down, to almost the very end, unless your just a Grump, it should provide you with a couple of good laughs if you also read the story behind the pics, hilarious!!! I know I BUSTED out LMAO!!!

Wrong place, wrong time, we've been mobbed b4 but 2nite, we got Thug'd

Living in the shadow of the city, we see & hear about all the bad stuff (murders, drug deals gone wrong, robberies, you know) on an almost nightly basis on our local news & from our vantage point of living on the river right across from downtown, we see the Emergency vehicles crossing the bridge all the time. Growing up here, I know where NOT to go when, if that makes sense. Much of the crime is being in the wrong place at the wrong time & thats what happened to Teddy & myself tonight:shocked: I had geared up Teddy & off we went on a midnight ryde, thru the city, on a Friday night:shocked: Didn't give it much thought, as we do this all the time, just avoiding the known trouble spots and we've never had an issue before. Was a mostly uneventful ryde for the most part and on our ryde home, I decided to take a short cut thru the allys behind the businesses that run along the river here on the Kentucky side. Do this all the time durring the day, but this was a first on a Friday (Sat.) night about 1am and as we came around a blind corner, their were three guys standing in the roadway with their arms flagging us down to stop. Best way I can describe them, is as Thugz, you know, early 20s, backwards ballcap with bandanas, baggy jeans, crack showing, chains & gym shoes. My choice was to either stop or keep going and hit the one guy standing in the middle of the road:dontknow:decisions decisions:shocked: WWYD?:dontknow:

Thugz Continued:

So, I had to make a split second decision, hit this guy& deal with his 2 buddies or stop & see what happens. C'mon, really. My first thought was that they'd rip the Garmin Zumo 665 GPS right off the top of the dash, would be an easy grab & run & easy to resell on the street for a nice chunk of change for them. My next thought went to Teddy, they better not try in hurt the little guy, I'm not much of a fighter, but yeah, try hurt'n my dog & all I can say is, I'm NOT responsible for whatever happens:mad: Again, all this was going thru my head in a split second & since I was only doing about 30MPH, I figured best to just stop & see what happens, cause I knew if I hit the guy in the road, I wasn't going fast enough to really take him out, but more likely, just piss him off:sour::lecturef_smilie: So, we came to a quick stop and as we did, the three young men were at our sides within seconds with my blood pressure rising exponentially:opps: The guy that was in the road, now directly in front of us and blocking any way forward, yells something to the effect of, "YO, WHAT THE HELL AM I LOOK'N AT! YO?" To which I replied its called a Can Am Spyder Roadster. "YO, WHATS THIS WORTH?" I replied with a quick thinking lie, not sure of the situation that we found ourselves in:lecturef_smilie: "With the LoJack & Satilite tracker, close to $30K" to which their jaws dropped in awe. Being as it was a dark area and Teddy is mostly black, I could tell that they hadn't seen him yet, so I also added, "Yeah, its not mine, its his(pointing to Teddy) & I'm just his chauffeur." Doing this, I was very uneasy, as the one guy closest to us, I was trying to look him in the eye, but I couldn't cause he had those vampire like contacts in that made his entire eye look solid white & that was just freaky :yikes:
TBC......

are you freaking serious? Had the final post done & it was lost *UGH!!!*,

Sorry, will finish the rest once I wake up & am not so :gaah:

Thugz Continued Part III for the 3rd time

So there we were, in a dark riverside back ally with the three Thugz all around us & as soon as they see Teddy, everything changed. "YO, THAT DOG ACTUALLY HAS A RED MOWHAWK, SHADES & RYDES THIS? THATS THE COOLEST *SS DOG I'VE EVA SEEN, YO!" I'm not joking one bit here, like it was choriographed, all three Thugz backed off and in unison, All three started bowing down:bowdown: to Teddy:bowdown: over and over, up & down, they were bowing like they were at an alter worshiping their god:bowdown: This time MY jaw dropped at what I was seeing & experiencing:yikes: but my shock quickly dissapaited as I realized the guys were now out of my way, so I took advantage of it & started rolling on the throttle & we started to make our get away & in unison, I heard all three guys start chanting "We're Not Worthy!" It was like a scene right out of a movie. And as we took our leave, I lost sight of these "Thugz" in the RTs mirrors, still bowing down & chanting "We're not worthy!" in the dark back ally of the riverfront.

WoW, guess that could've ended much differently if Teddy had NOT been with menojoke But we made it home, none worse for the wear and with a pretty cool little story and experience that I doubt I will ever forget. From an emotional experience, to go from feeling that your life, property & loved one is in mortal danger to being bowed down to & hearing the multiple chants of "We're Not Worthy" it made for one HELL of an Emotional ryde:yes: Thinking I'm going to start having a complex, where other Spyder Ryders are just mere mortals :roflblack:

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT!!!:yikes:! Might not be so lucky if ya do that again!!!!:bdh: SO DON"T!!!! Your back must be REALLY feeling better if you're out and about at 0100!!!:lecturef_smilie: Burning the candle at both ends aren't ya??? :bowdown:YOU ARE SOOOO LUCKY!!!!!:b2b:

I'm thankful but question my worthiness

Just got off the phone & relaying our "Thugz" experience from last night to my best (human) friend and his reply was, "Dude, you need to get that dog a steak, you owe him big time, he saved your *ss!" To broke right now for Steak, but he was :yes:VERY HAPPY:yes:with HotDogs:yes: Now I'm the one thinking "I'm NOT worthy!" Thank you buddy:bowdown::firstplace::bowdown:

Coz sent me a text, so Teddy & I are gonna meet him @ Eden Park @ 2pm, join us

Just finished up "refreshing" Teddy's doo, as it was looking a little more PINK than his usual matching VIPER RED but thats what happens over time, the red fades to pink, so we have to correct that. He's all done now & happy & ready for a ryde & to greet his public :doorag:

If anyone else is interested, we (The Cincinnati Spyder Ryders Group) usually meet at the Eden Park Twin Lakes/Overlook on Sundays around 2pm & if any are interested, we can also do a nice ryde as well. We went out to Rabbit Hash last weekend, great ryde out as long as you like Tear'n up the Twisties, which Teddy & I can't seem to get enough of :yes:

add another

Jesse just called & asked if we're meeting, so we have another 3some so far. I'm curious how many SpyderLovers got to meet Jesse at this years SpyderFest? He's not on here much, not even sure if he has a profile or not, haven't been able to find it if he does. But I know in one of the pics that Lamont posted from Cowtown, Jesse & his tricked out Black n White RT-S was front and center & believe me, if you met Jesse, You know it :roflblack: Great guy thats a little out there when it comes to trick'n out his Spyder:2thumbs: Did you see all the chrome air horns on the sled:thumbup: WOW:bowdown:
