Dash panel color matched to Pearl White + new gauges

Here are pics of the dash panel color matched to my Spyder RT. The new gauges are in place but not tied in to the Spyder as yet. I just wanted to check the fit of the gauges so the attaching screws are not in place. I chose not to paint the speaker covers as I thought that was just a little too much.

It appears I am going to have some clearance problems with the Oil Pressure gauge on the right side as I can't get the panel to fit perfectly flush. I may have to take a dremel tool and route out some of the dash material.

I went to Auto Meter gauges from Summitt Racing at what seemed to be good prices.

I did the same with mine, you might consider drilling holes near the back of the screw hole pockets to drain the water that sits there after a wash or rain(aka lazy wash)

When I traded in my 2011 Timeless Black RT on my 2012 Pearl White, I didn't want to buy a new RT 622 trailer so I painted my old on to match the new Spyder. We color matched the white to a panel off of the new machine and I had some left over so the same body shop I used painted the dash panel with it. It is a two stage paint that requires careful handling.

Rahter than route out the dash I decided to try the factory gauge mounts (the black plastic pieces that secure the gauges to the dash), instead of the mounts that came with the Auto Meter gauges. Turns out they are just a tiny bit narrower and allow the dash to fit snuggly into place. So if you are planning to do this, there is no need to worry about fit if you use the factory mounts.
