• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i know the way i am, and I HATE THE MACHINE, no one will ever change my mind about it. i am sleeping less now that i have the machine, then i did without it.

John, I don't have any experience with CPAP, so I can't address that. But i want to say I'm praying for you to find a solution and make peace with something that can actually help you. Hang in there.

the reason i had to take the test to see if i needed it, is because of the weight loss surgery i want to have. the say the reason is because they need to know it when i am in surgery so they know how to knock me out. so now they want me to bring the machine with me so after the surgery i can use it in recovery. the machine is rented from the company, and it talks to the company every morning to tell them how long i used it and how many times it helped me at night. when i get nervous using the machine i take it off, in the morning i sign in to see what the machine said to them and the site tells me to use the machine more then i am.

I DO NOT LIKE BEING TOLD TO DO SOMETHING I DON'T WANT TO DO. it makes me angry and the more it bothers me the more i won't do it. YEA I SOUND LIKE A BIG KID, but i have been this way my whole life. and the fact that now that the surgeon knows i have the machine, there is no surgery if i don't use it. so i am sure it is all me and not the machine, but i just hate using it.

Hate it more than being overweight?
Hate it more than suffering the effects of diabetes?
Hate it more than your suffering knees?
Hate it more than being short of breath?
Hate it more than not being able to get down on the floor to work on your Spyder?
Hate it more than the thought of living the rest of your life in physical suffering?
Hate it more than the thought of an early death caused by all your physical problems plus the lack of oxygen to your brain as a result of sleep apnea?

Think long and hard about it, John. Life is often full of choices between undesirable options and giving in often brings tremendous relief.

Your surgeon is not telling you what you have to do. He is telling you what the path is to having a better life. He's not telling you what you have to do. He's telling you what your options are.

John, sometimes life hands us a :cus: sandwich, and we have no choice but to eat it! I'm pulling for you man. I wish the best for you. I want to see you have the surgery. God bless you.

Well John, I guess I am fortunate that mine does not bother me that much. Both my wife and I have it. She is constantly fighting it and changing equipment. I fell asleep at stop lights on occasion and once on the highway in the middle of the day. That did it for me and convinced me I had a problem. The scary thought was killing myself if I ran off the road or god forbid kill some one else by doing so. I never get sleepy during the day anymore and feel 100% better with a lot more energy. Mine is always on when in bed.

Now the "Princess" who snores something terrible and will never admit it is another story. Coming back from Durango last summer with the truck and toy hauler I asked her to spell me driving. I was relaxing and resting my eyes and felt a jerk in the vehicle, looked up and we had crossed the road and headed for a severe drop off. She fell asleep. We recovered and no harm done but was able to convince her she had "sleep apnea". She has fought it all the way. When I can get her to keep it on most of the night her whole personality changes for the better the next day. It make that much difference.

Now for the effect it has on all bodily organs including the brain is overwhelming. The Heart and the Brain are the two main ones. Do some in-depth reading on the subject and that alone should be enough incentive to use it as it should be used. All night all the time. Kinda like ATGATT! It will extend your life and the quality of that life.

You CAN teach an "old dog new tricks".

well don't get me wrong,i will hate this thing for as long as i have it. last night i used it for 4 hrs because i had a pain pill in me,so it knocked me out pretty good. i now have a medium mask, a large mask, a nasal pillow setup, and on Tuesday i will be getting a new type of nasal mask. this thing is becoming like a bike.keep buying till your happy with what you have. i am a thick headed Italian, sometimes this is spelt with a D, i still have a month or two b4 the surgery and i hope i can keep using it till then

John,
You can do it! :2thumbs:
We're all pulling for ya; Bro! nojoke

All of these masks will come in handy for next Halloween...

well i just got the 4th mask i ordered for the CCRAP machine. this one covers your whole nose with a lot of head straps, but nothing goes into your nose like the other nasal CCRAP one i have. i tried it on and it is pretty comfortable so far, so tonight will tell how i feel

Keeping our fingers crossed for you! Having to try several to find the one that really works is not at all unusual. Some poor folks have had to try close to a dozen before they found the right one.
