• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

At my height, I am looking through the top edge of the windshield in its lowest position. Has any every tried to cut off about 3-4"? I would have it done by a pro but just wonder if they will be able to make the edge look ok. 2012 RT Audio and Convenience.

Saw a thread earlier this morning where someone just finished cutting their windshield. Try doing a search and you should be able to find it.

I have cut /trimmed all types of so-called plastics. It mostly depends on what type of tools you have and your knowledge of how to use them CAREFULLY...Mike

Cutting windshield

I cut my windshield. It is not very hard. All you have to do is cover both sides of the windshield where you are going to cut with masking tape. The kind that is three inches wide. Mark you curve by following the original curve of the windshield. If you didn't make the curve of the windshield as original, take the tape off and try again. when you are saitisfied with the pencil mark, I used a sabre saws with a blade for cutting lumber. When using a fine blade, the plastic will only fill the cut back over again. Then when you are done, take a smooth file and file the edge of the windshield. Good luck.
