There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Cut Variosystems AG wire instead of Customer accessory - what now?

Let me say right off the bat I know I did wrong... Now though I need to know what to do next. Looking for the Customer Accessory connection wires I grabbed the one that had a tag on it thinking "What I am following has the same size tag but the year is different. So this must be just a difference in years." - Now though once it is too late I found the actual correct set of wires I was supposed to be using. Much bigger tag by the way. So now that I cut the wrong wire what do I do? I have since opened up the fabric wire wrap and found there was a resistor in there, but I do not know if the wire just looped on not because of the way I had cut it. Any help would be appreciated. - Oh and I have a shop manual on the way. Just hoping I can get this corrected before next weekend.

I would break out the soldering iron and put it back together, tape it up good and call it a day! That is of course unless it was a coax type wire then you would need a splice.

I can try and solder the cut wire or attach it some how. I just could not tell if it was ever connected because of the way I cut it. I am hoping the manual will give a circuit diagram and let me know if it should be re-connected or am I fine leaving it separated.

It took a bit, but I have a picture!

You can see if you look really closely the resistor that is inside the coating. Once I was able to get enough light in there, I do see that it appears this was one complete circuit and does need to be reattached. I will do so and let everyone know.

I have played around with this some more, thinking I might be able to solder the wire now that I see it was all connected. Unfortunately, there was nothing to solder to. So I cut it off completely so I can replace it. Here is what was under that covering.

Just to finish up this thread. Added a new resistor of the same specs and sealed it all up. Have the GPS attached to the correct wires and everything is running fine. No errors show and I have not found any issues.
@UtahPete - yes that was the tag on the wire. It looks like Variosystems makes wiring harnesses for different applications.
