• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SPYDER CONVERSION ?????

Un-fortunately that frame is - steel - ( you can see the rust ) so the weight increase is going to be major. Plus the size of the body another weight increase. Yes it will be more aerodynamic but not near enough to overcome the added weight. Don't even get me started on the LOOK :barf:........jmho.......M

Thanks for those pictures of the Prong...
It's actually been out there for about six years or so...

But those are the nicest pictures that I've seen of it! :firstplace:

An interesting look at another iteration of :f_spider::ani29::spyder2:

Some people like to tinker, and they do it well.:bowdown:

I wonder how many of them were ever made? :dontknow:
If they were to update their ride with the 1330/speed; it'd be awesome!

I doubt if they are getting their money back, unless they bought a wreck to start with. Mike's right about the steel, maybe they couldn't weld aluminum.

Always interesting...

How people buy things so they can make them into something else they can buy ready made....:dontknow:

For those of us that have not been here that long please share info O Eponymous one:bowdown: :clap:

Looking in the shops background i see they do fiberglass & probably custom work.
the 6speed MT & few visible RS parts are curious. Not to mention street legal or not is one thing, making nanny happy:lecturef_smilie:With new weight & dimensions they have some big hurdles.
Not enough info on CL to go with but only other rational reasons I can think of besides a bored builder going "can i do this?" Would be a customer ordered a custom build, then changed their mind. I would like to know more for sure, just so I know. It is a rather interesting Frankenstein vehicle & going rat rod with it would be fun just to do.

IMHO

I remember back in 2009 when this project started using at the time a 2009 GS. From the photos does not looks like it was cared for very well.
