• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I leave for California in 3 weeks and I have a few ToDos before I go...

1. Trailer painted Decided to go with a silver, riveted finish with a few artistic details. This will be done just before I leave.
2. Trailer Minigun Received my tankbuster Tailgunner today and will mount it atop the trailer tomorrow. Just need some .50 cal linked ammo (anyone know where to find a small quantity that isn't plastic?).
3. Machined-Aluminum Machine Gun Barrels - The fabricator will be done before the weekend. The conduit was starting to warp and didn't look as good as I had hoped.
4. Flame Thrower Decided to move the flame thrower to the trailer. Gotta keep those tailgaters in check. :doorag:

I'm taking a few days off to make sure it all gets done. Can't wait to finally finish my last mods. :)

Two places come to mind when looking for .50 ammo. www.sportsmansguide.com and www.cheaperthandirt.com. They will have the real think and display ammo as well.

Here you go... 24" long belt, 25 dummy rounds:

Could you hook up the guns to run off oxygen and acetylene? You would get the bang and the flash without the worry of missing the tailgaters.

You could put the tanks in the trailer:D

DD, you might want to fabricate some vinyl or stenciled canvas (more appropiate) gun covers. If you do get hassled on the road, just slip the OD covers over the "guns". Just a thought.

Thanks for the concern but I'm not aware of any laws prohibiting faux gun barrels and I'm ready to argue that in court if need be. I've talked to LEOs about it before and they love it. The flame thrower is another story but that's only for shows.

The .50 cal dummy ammo, however, is illegal in California (no offense but California is friggin nuts with its laws). I'll be sure to take appropriate measures when I get Cubafornia.

If I do get pulled over, ride ahead. I'll catch up. :doorag:

It's not likely a matter of law, just one of inconspicuously slipping past the local constable somewhere. Less eye-catching means less liklihood of being stopped for any reason. Of course if you like chatting with the LEOs several times along the way, this is a good conversation starter. :D Watch your speed on those catch-up runs! :joke:
