• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Curious if the LH footpeg/frame combination of a Ryker Sport is strong enough to support the weight of a person....

..... when getting on the machine?

I ask because when I have a large bundle on the rear passenger portion of my Ryker’s Ultimate seat, I have a real problem getting my right leg over the mass when getting on or off the machine.

For my tall KLR, I put my LH foot on the LH peg, raise up, then swing my RH leg over the stuff on the back. I then lower myself onto the seat and put my RH foot on the respective peg. Getting off, I raise up, shift my weight to the LH leg, then swing my RH leg over the rear of the bike and lower myself down to the ground. It’s all akin to getting on and off a horse…… which I did for a number of years when I owned one of those babies.

??????????

It will support you with out a problem.
Many others here have the same issue and added a third foot peg on the left.
I did the same and liked it so much I added one on the right ( right foot peg need some grinding to fit)
Hope this helps.
Merry Christmas

Thank you, good to know.

My Sport has the floor board conversions and they're situated pretty far forward, so would be a pain to keep loosening and sliding the one back and forth. Thought about adding in something further back on the left, but didn't consider an OEM peg.

Excellent idea! Thank you again, and Merry Xmas to you too.

UPDATE - Looked at LH pegs on BRP's site and saw that some of the stuff was out of stock. Checked on eBay and found a complete assembly for a good price, and it got a little better 'cause they accepted my offer. It will be here on the 2nd.
