• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm not sure I believe that Roger. Are you saying that the Spyder wouldn't be safe to ride without the nanny? Wouldn't you think that the 2f, 1r configuration would be safer than the 1f, 2r configuration? Why don't we see the TriGlide nannyied up? Its factory built and it doesn't seem HD is too worried about it. Truthfully I'd be surprised if Arctic Cat actually brought this out. It's cool lookin but I probably wouldn't be interested in it if they didn't have a touring version.

I've never even met the nanny. I guess i ride like a real :cus: :roflblack:

I've talked to a subcontractor who was involved in the development of the front suspension...
Had Bosch NOT come on board with the V.S.S; the bike would never have seen the light of day!

THAT'S how important it is!

You can ship them a made for US Goldwing for them to install the kit. They are in the Netherlands, and have a dealer in England.

Unless Honda were to make the trike--the issue with GW trikes is that it voids the Honda warranty. Also, a lot of dealers will refuse to work on the GW if it is triked or modified.

I agree that it will void the warranty.

But I am not sure that "a lot" of dealers would refuse to help get items warranted or to even work on it. But assuredly there would be "some". But both "some" and "a lot" are both subject to interpretation!

My triked Wing is no longer in warranty so I can't speak with great confidence as to whether my dealer would help there, but I have had no issue getting service work done. I had a new front tire put on right after purchase with no problem at all. :doorag:

Wow! Some of the products that you folks have listed here are intreging. There's more going on than I thought. That GGTaurus is real Cool but it's no competition for :spyder2: with that price tag.

I'm not sure how true that is. There are honda dealers who sell different trike kits. :dontknow:

True John. A LOT depends on the dealer. And if they sell and install kits, they obviously will service for you, but they will also very likely "assist" in getting warranty work done. At least that is the consensus I see on the GL 1800 board.

Let's face it ; Honda dealerships pretty much have the entire "customer service" thing worked out!
It's a model that hopefully, BRP is striving to emulate ...

The dealer here in Anchorage is one that holds true to both policies. Hence, I have never owned a GW or a GW trike.

Look at all the trophies someone likes it:yikes:

No doubt; Any of the motorcycle (Or ATV) manufacturers could take a serious stab at this market...
But why would they?
Do you think that this type of vehicle has a large-enough appeal, to offer enough sales? :dontknow:

I think it does...if nothing else for the boomers and even the "aging" gen-x-ers now. But I know a lot of younger people are looking at these things, too...at this time only the price is putting some of them off.

There's a LOT of interest in Spyder type cycles.

I was guessing Mustang; that's why I said "Ford" dealer.

You know me. Sometimes I read what I think the poster is saying, and not what they actually wrote. Of course, the "Ford" part blew right over the top. Guess I am suffering hypothermia from my ryde. It was 25 degrees and I found black ice on ramps and overpasses.
