There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have had the MC Cruise electronic cruise control for 2 years and (other than a dealer installation problem) have never had a problem. Expensive but it works GREAT and was invaluable on my 6,000 mile trip last Spring. I wouldn't be without it

I installed on ours. Added the vacuum can that smoothed it out quite a bit. Very happy with the unit. Yes, much more than the Audiovox, also much more sophisticated. Flawless in operation!! Works as well as the factory unit on my BMW!

I would opt for the newer electronic version (doesn't use vacuum).

I purchased my cruise control from Throttlemeister. I bought the stainless ones each weighing in at right near a pound. Definitely reduces vibration in the handlebars and I love the control. Took me 15 minutes to install and a few 1/4-mile jaunts to fine-tune it.
To apply the cruise, I turn the control the same direction as I turn my wrist to accelerate. To turn it off, simply turn the Throttlemeister in the deceleration direction.
You can always override the cruise simply by decelerating the throttle. (Even without touching the actual stainless Throttlemeister.)
If I am on level ground, there is approximately an 8-mile per hour gap in actual speed limit but that varies. But it really works great at getting your hand off the throttle for a minute or two to move your hand and wrist around; then I'm ready to get my hand back on the throttle.
I won't think twice about purchasing them for my next ride as well.

Hey Arguss, I also have the Throttlemeister, it works AWESOME, no electronics or what have you. My concern was SAFETY, and from what I searched and found this is GREAT. Hope it helpd.

I have the Throttlemeister on my BMW and Nancy has one on her Spyder. You are right, they are great. They are not really a cruise control, however, but a type of throttle lock/tensioning device. There are several similar brands. They serve the purpose nicely, but do not kick out upon use of the brake or clutch, like a true cruise control, and they require adjustment by the rider to match road conditions. One must train oneself to forcibly turn off the throttle each and every time when using one (a good idea always, even without one). I am not throwing rocks...I love the darned things, and missed having one on my RTS, despite the true cruise control. It is important for potential buyers to understand the differences, however.
