• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cruise Control Feedback

Yep, put one on Laughing Heart's. Works great, she loves it! Great documentation, right down to the details on how to 'tune' it.

Looks like it belongs there.

I put one on about a month ago and LOVE IT!!!!
The directions are very clear and precise. Pictures are very good as well. Took me between 4-5 hours if you take your time. A good portion of that time involves removing and re-installing all the tupperware.
You can calibrate it exactly how you want it to perform.
Note: Purchase from the USA dealer in Florida. It's much cheaper, and it was drop shipped from Australia. I ordered on a thursday afternoon, and it was on my doorstep, from Australia on Monday!!!!!

Go to www.spoiledbiker.com. I paid $757.00 delivered to my door. I believe the price on the McCruise website is about $990.00

Very high quality kit!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

I've never heard ANYTHING bad about this product or company...only good. If it was in my budget, it would already be on my Spyder! :D

Vendit said it all.

I love mine and use it all the time. Tony Guyver is a STAR and will give you all the help you need.

Unless you intend to install it yourself, check with your dealer to see if they feel like they can handle the installation.

My first experience was a total DISASTER but all is well now

I ran the AudioVox vacuum unit for awhile. Worked pretty good and at around $100 it's a bargain. Install is a bit challanging but not excessive.

Then I switched to the electric version AudioVox came out with. I thougth it would be a simple servo unit swap but it was a bit more then that.

The install of the electric model would be essentially the same as the vacuum version starting from scratch.

I am not impressed with the electic so far. Though I must say it could be several things not related to the unit itself.

The old control head that I did not change out from the vacuum system may be faulty. And it may also be that I do not have the servo unit adjusted correctly, or both.

The electic is much more powerful than the vacuum unit. And you don't have to worry about having sufficient vacuum to operate the unit. Though I never really had that be a problem on the vacuum unit.

When I get the time I am going to try and get this unit dialed in. It does work and I used it for thousands of miles on my trip to CA and back. Once I get it set it works pretty well.

It is just too sensitive in it's present configuration. There are a number of dip switches that need to be set properly. Trouble is, there are no settings for the Spyder so I have to use trial and error.

I have not doubt that the unit will work just fine if I get it configured correctly. So far I'm at about 80% effective.

Please be careful about the pricing on this. It is $990 in A$ (AUS). The link in the earlier parts of the thread take you to a page with an outdated US$ price. It is currently closer to $780 US$ converted from the A$990 price.

Sorry, I don't get this one - I have a real cruise control on my LT, but opted for a $22 throttle lock on my Spyder. Both do the job for me, and the difference in price added Givi bags and Tour pegs to my Spyder.

Can't remember where but I saw it for $606 on a site.

As I cautioned earlier . . . The $606 is an out-of-date currency conversion of the AUS$990.00 price. The AUS$990.00 has not changed -- the relationship to US$ has.

Just want to agree with those who bought the MCCC unit from Tony. I can't say enough about it and the customer service they provide. :2thumbs:

With that said, Tony is coming to the US in October. So, if anyone in or around Michigan wants to meet, chat, and ride with him, let me know and I'll give you the particulars...Joan

Can you post the particulars and I'll see if I can work it into my schedule?
