I had the fortunate experience to visit Cuba MO on thursday to meet Len and crew at cowtown. Aside from the really :cus::cus::cus: weather, it was great! I ordered my new Limited RT Spyderfest addition right before spyderfest, and will be taken delivery this coming tuesday.
Everyone i dealt with was as friendly as could be and it was quite refreshing i might say. I spent most of the day with Len who truly is a great guy as most of you that have met him already know. That goes for his dad, dan in parts and the mechanics in the shop. I even met some spyder people there from St. Louis, Jim and wife who came in to dry off as they were caught in the rain. Again, super nice people. :2thumbs:
And i finally was able to see the finished product of my bike. Len told me the pictures didn't do it justice, and he was right. i was really torn between the red and the limited, so I let the new wife make the choice.:shemademe_smilie: and i must say it was a good one.
I did not take it out in the :cus: weather, but did drive a demo RT and it was a huge amount of fun as i spent about 35 minutes driving it up and down the service road in front of the shop. i had no issues with it except for grabbing that right grip parking break one time. Scared the living :cus: out of me because i needed to slow down around the bend, finally the brain kicked in the right foot. Loved the ride and can't wait until it gets here.
Len, thanks for everything, esp the time you spent with me going over the bike, lunch and the day in general. This would not have happened anywhere else that i know of. Thanks bud!!
Now the bike: 2011 Spyderfest addition. #001
Special paint, elka shocks and covers(look awesome), third tail light, Utopia Backrest, road pegs.
additional mods: All side reflectors are now running lights and turn signals. Mudflap turn signals. Battery tender set up, 2nd battery installed in drivers side bag. 12v socket in frunk.
Thats it, only need to put miles on it now!!!
