• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cowtown USA

I had the fortunate experience to visit Cuba MO on thursday to meet Len and crew at cowtown. Aside from the really :cus::cus::cus: weather, it was great! I ordered my new Limited RT Spyderfest addition right before spyderfest, and will be taken delivery this coming tuesday.

Everyone i dealt with was as friendly as could be and it was quite refreshing i might say. I spent most of the day with Len who truly is a great guy as most of you that have met him already know. That goes for his dad, dan in parts and the mechanics in the shop. I even met some spyder people there from St. Louis, Jim and wife who came in to dry off as they were caught in the rain. Again, super nice people. :2thumbs:

And i finally was able to see the finished product of my bike. Len told me the pictures didn't do it justice, and he was right. i was really torn between the red and the limited, so I let the new wife make the choice.:shemademe_smilie: and i must say it was a good one.

I did not take it out in the :cus: weather, but did drive a demo RT and it was a huge amount of fun as i spent about 35 minutes driving it up and down the service road in front of the shop. i had no issues with it except for grabbing that right grip parking break one time. Scared the living :cus: out of me because i needed to slow down around the bend, finally the brain kicked in the right foot. Loved the ride and can't wait until it gets here.

Len, thanks for everything, esp the time you spent with me going over the bike, lunch and the day in general. This would not have happened anywhere else that i know of. Thanks bud!!

Now the bike: 2011 Spyderfest addition. #001
Special paint, elka shocks and covers(look awesome), third tail light, Utopia Backrest, road pegs.
additional mods: All side reflectors are now running lights and turn signals. Mudflap turn signals. Battery tender set up, 2nd battery installed in drivers side bag. 12v socket in frunk.

Thats it, only need to put miles on it now!!!

:agree: DEFINITELY the right dealer. You won't find any better. Great color too. That Pearl is very classy. (Would look great with a Corbin seat!) I saw one like yours with a fully loaded Corbin at Spyderfest. Just awesome.

Looks like you are off to a great start. Are you rYding back to NJ? :congrats: AND :welcome:

I hear you. But you will get there within 1000 miles. Mine really seems to get better each day. 70-80 mph interstate, smooth and steady. A bit jumpy around the 18 wheelers, but Len helped me get setup with some Elkas that I hope will help even more. (Of course your Spyderfest edition already has the Elkas!)

Enjoy your summer on a beautiful machine!

Enjoy your new toy! Tuesday will be here before you know it:clap: Safe riding!

Len and the crew at Cowtown are top notch all the way! I wish we had a dealer like that here in San Diego!
Maybe they could move out here, I could clean out my garage, heck the wife and I would even let them have the bedroom, we'll take the couch!

You have great taste and built a first class ryde....proably the nicest Spyder we have ever had the pleasure of putting togther, and its your first shot out of the box. Any ways John thanks for being willing to let us work for you. Spyderlovers are the best there is!!! THe spyder has arrived

Thanks again Len and everyone for the welcome and wishes, etc.

My spyder finally arrived yesterday afternoon from Cuba, MO.

Of course, I could not start it:gaah: so i was ready to hit the complaint board when i realized i forgot to hit the mode button. What a :cus::cus:. :roflblack:

My first trip was a short one, from my shop where it was delivered to my house, about 5 miles away. My first adventure on a real road with traffic. My daughter followed behind me since i had no tags.:cus::cus:. first car behind her of course was a cop:spyder: We made it. :ohyea:

As i wait on the title, it will sit but i'm more excited than ever to drive it!!
These boards are great, the good, the bad and the ugly post's led me to being a spyder owner so thanks!!!!

And so it begins
