• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Corbin smuggler question on bump pad before I call and go ballistic.

Got my smuggler trunk today after 6 weeks wait, have to say it was well packed and so far it seem to be a well made piece (did not go over it for long) as I am steaming at the moment. I have one problem and before I go ballistic when I call them I want to ask those of you who have one and might know this, they did not match the bump pad to the seat leather and I want to know if this can be removed (by me) as I hope what will happen is they will send new one out with right cover and I will be able to change it myself as I will be even more steaming if I have to send the whole thing back for them to correct it

It's their screw up so they should fix the problem. It looks like the pad is changed using three screws at the back of the pad--which are accessable through the trunk. We bought two trunks a year ago. The smuggler trunk makes the bike look great--we have ours matched up with Givi Bags from BRP. I would give their customer service a call and see if they are willing to help quickly. The secret is to be real nice at first. Let us know how you were treated by customer service. It can be good or bad advertising for them. The long delays are not my favorite thing from Corbin. I just ordered a seat for my RT--well see if they are able to make their two to three week committment to me.

I got a call from my dealer late yesterday, and they told me that my smuggler trunk from corbin just came in. I got a better deal ordering my trunk and seat through my dealer. It took about 5 weeks to receive the trunk. At the time that I ordered it along with my new seat, corbin was supposed to have the seat and trunk bump pad leather all matched. I hope to pick it up sometimes today and see if it is. Once installed that should do it for what I want to do for upgrades, at least for this year.

Love my Corbin Top Box and Hard Saddle Bags ! They complete the :spyder2:. Hate the hardware, all the hinges have rusted, all the mounting hardware ,frame, nuts and bolts have rusted. I don't drive in the winter and they are less than a year old.

Here is one for the record books.

I was getting ready to call Corbin when I got a call from UPS saying I had another box from Corbin waiting remember just yesterday I had receive my smuggler trunk. I rushed over to UPS and guess what it was a replacement bump pad with the right cover I said WOW how did this happen. I decided to call anyway and this is what I was told the mix up was notices just as it was getting ready to ship and it was decided that the smuggler trunk would ship as planned and a replacement bump pad would be made up fast and shipped when done which was three days after trunk. It was great that they realize the mix up and acted on it even before it went out, now I can put on the seat and trunk together. I say hats off to Corbin.

Getting upset about the bump pad not matching seat cover was all for nothing as I had to remove it, did not like how it pushed me so far forward on the seat and I was not sitting in the seat properly and did not like how close it made me feel to the screen now it's much better. Have to find a way to cover the two holes and still make it look good. As for the corbin seat I do hope it brakes in faster that they say it will and I have to get used to the whole new look of seat and smuggler.

I picked up my Corbin Smuggler trunk from my dealer and installed it while I was there. Everything fit well and looks good, except I noticed a small paint run on the trunk in the front, but I won't be concerned with that. The bump pad does push me forward slightly, but it is comfortable for me otherwise. I'll post pictures once we get a clear day for me to take pictures of my spyder all set up. It's been rainy and cloudy these days up here.
