• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anybody have a copy of the installation instructions for corbin seats on a 2009 rs? I bought a used set here on the forum, but no instructions...fairly straightforward from what it looks like but I just want to be sure it's secured properly. Would appreciate a copy if anybody has one.

Just go to the Corbin site -look at the Corbin seat for the RS and then look under notes for detailed installation instructions .

Corbin seat instruction copy

Dear No name,

If you send me your complete name and street address I'll make up a copy of the installation instructions you needand mail them to you. Be aware of the folowing: The original mounting supports do not separate the side cases sufficiently from the Spyder body and rear suspension so consequently they will be rubbing. I had to rebend my moutings so that moved the cases away from the side of the bike about 1/4" and I just found out that that wasnt enough. The mountings have to be bent so that they project the cases 1/2" out from the way the come from the Corbin factory. To do this you have to heat the uppermost part of the vertical square tube and the the lower part (one at a time) to bend it outwards and downwards to compensate for it now pointing up a little. The bottom of the mounting should be parallel to the upper part of the muntings that plug into the Spyder. You have to heat the area where the original welds (one at a time) are to a low red color to be able to bend the mountings where they should be bent. The cases' mounting have to project the cases outwards 1/2" so that they do not rub against the Spyder's sides. My Spyder is a 2008 SM5 GS model and the same as yours.
