• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Corbin Seat and Back Rest

Can't wait to get mine! Hope I get it before the trip to Springfield for Spyderfest!

I went with the heated seat option and a single standard backrest. I had a heated seat on the BMW and loved it! Their prices are in the website, but that combination comes in at just under $1100. I ride solo most of the time, and wanted a backrest. My wife wants to ride with me occasionally, so I need the passenger backrest. As a result, I had been planning on getting both of them from BRP, had they been available, at the tune of $1K. After a couple 200+ mile days in the saddle, I also decided I needed a better seat. I really like Corbin's set up, where the backrest can be used in either location - driver or pillion. I figure I could go without a backrest when the wife rides with me, so I only needed one. The way I see it, I had been planning on spending $1000 and will now spend about $1100 and will get a better and heated seat seat for the extra $100. Seemed like quite a deal to me!

Interesting to me that you chose the heat option - ridden a few spiders besides my own and enjoy the natural seat heating in winter ;)- not so much of course in summer:(. Haven't heard any reviews mention heat issues with F3 YET - not on the market long enough - maybe their won't be an issue. Interesting that owner's manual does mention potential heat issues with F3 in stop and go traffic.

However, I could appreciate having a heated seat when first starting out on a cold morning.

single/split seat option?

It looks nice, but I was a little disappointed (when I looked at it a couple weeks ago on their website) that it appears to only be set up for driver/passenger. I don't often have a passenger, and I've ordered the urban rack to replace the back seat. I wonder if Corbin will offer the flexible seating that the "standard" F3 seat currently has?

My 103 cu in HD doesn't like heavy traffic on a hot day, either. The engine location and open engine compartment on the F-3 should do better. I say should as a) I don't have my F3 yet, and b) if I did, the weather in MN is cool for the next two months anyway.
