There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Corbin lack of Customer Service

I hope you don’t mind a small rant, but I believe you need to be informed about this one.

I purchased saddle bags from Corbin for the wife's 2011 RS Spyder. Before I ordered them I had a CD of instructions sent to me so I could study them before I tried to install them. It was very straight forward and feeling confident about it I purchased them through my local dealer. The price difference between the dealer and Corbin was minimal and the dealer made me a better deal I couldn't refuse. I received the bags and carefully removed them from the box and inspected them. I must say the are beautiful. Color match and all. They sent paper instructions which were, to say the least, not easy to understand, along with the out of focus pictures.

Anyway installing them wasn't all that hard. As a matter of fact they were easy once I had to modify parts. Either the mounting bracket nut collars welded to the bracket was off, or the holes drilled into the saddle bags were. After boring the holes in the bags to make the bolts fit, installing them went like a breeze.

After installing the bags, getting all the nuts tightened, and adjusting the bag covers to fit and shut tight, I found that the turn signal covers that were sent were too big for the bracket. It scratched the paint, white pearl. Now the fun part. I took the RS out for a test run, not far, say 10 miles. I returned to the garage and opened the right bag to retrieve the keys for the bags, and found the bottom of the bag was starting to melt. I removed the bag and let it cool. I bought 2” header wrap and triple wrapped the muffler (I all ready did the pipes to the muffler). I re-installed the bag and run it again with no problem.

I called Corbin. Wanted to tell him about the problems I encountered so they could look into the problem and correct it before sending another set out that was wrong. I first talked to a man who could give a good sh*t about what I was telling him. I called back and talked to another man at costumer service who basically said the same thing, but told me to send pictures of the problem. I wasn't going to take the bags off for that. I talked to the dealer. He called Corbin, and had Sergio, the head customer service rep to call me. I missed his call, but tried to call him back for two days. Never returned my call. Well this p*ssed me off. I decided to call Mike Corbin. Still no return call.

Customer service???

bad luck

sorry to here of your situation, it double s///ks, you paid a ton of money and still get treated bad. sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

We had some issues with the wifes Corbin, some ours, some Corbins. I called Corbin @ 831.634.1100 and spoke with Marissa. Call and speak with her, she will take care of your issue or find someone within Corbin that will. She is the best Customer Service Rep I have ever dealt with. This is a Calif. # and she is in demand so you may have to wait to speak with her. It is worth the wait.

I also purchased a set of Corbin side cases for my 2008 SE5 GS spyder and it was and still is problems. The first thing is that the OEM rear lights didn't fit in the pockets on the cases. I had to purchase, locally, smaller lamps and make mounting for them so that they would fit in the cases' pockets. Then the cases were rubbing against the side of the Spyder. Off came everything an I rebent the mounting, heating them, to mover the cases away, out, 1/4". Then the worst part happened, the RH side case mounting lowered the muffler too low and it was dragging on every bump, sleeping policeman, and small pot holes. I machined two special small supports to block up the rear shock about 13/16". That cured the dragging. I thought I was done with problems but now I see the paint is cracking, checking, in two areas that are not stress loaded. Poor engineering. Go figure. Arthur, Mexico City, [email protected]

My sister-in-law has had Corbin problems since day one. She purchased the bags and the top bx along with the seat. First issue was the paint bubbled on both bags. and it looked exactly like finger spots sort of got the impression someone had picked the bags up with something on their fingertips the paint did not like.
Dealer spent months trying to get the problem fixed and they finally returned the bags and had them repainted or traded. The dealer said this was not an isolated incident and will not deal with Corbin anymore.
It is a shame their stuff looks good and is unique .
But I would rather do without than to do with the mess she had.

I had thought of buying Corbin bags, but opted for the Gigi. No complaints, they don't have the molded look that Corbin advertises, but none of their issues either.

I guess this will be a "point/counterpoint" response. I've had nothing but good dealings with Corbin. (Sergio included). They've done everything that they said they would do. I will admit that I did have a bit of a hard time finally getting a "live voice", but once I did, all went well. My issue wasn't bags though so perhaps I'm talking oranges and apples and not oranges and oranges.

There have been more than a few threads here about the problems with corbin.

I don't own anything corbin nor will I...don't like hearing all the problems people have with not only customer service, but also with the paint issues and other things that have come up.

They have no customer service as far as I am concerned.

Sadly, many feel that way...I have never bought Corbin...too many horror stories...for all the cash you're spending and the lack of customer service, it ain't worth the headache...

I don't understand some of the companies around here that have such poor customer service...don't they understand that word of mouth reputation rules? Some companies are far better than others!!

I received my Corbin rear fender today and am fuming mad. After being super clear that it was to match the flat black 09 Phantom paint I open the box to find a shinny gloss black fender!

Let's see how they handle this fix. I'll keep you updated.
