• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Cooling issues

Proud owner of a '15 RT Ltd. We have just 200 miles on the machine, and I note no cooling fan after a hot ride shutdown. My '12 had the cooling fan running after every trip...this one nothing. Checked the fuse and it is good.

Second problem is that there is quite a bit of heat coming from the space in front of the seat. Might get a little toasty on a summer ride.

Any ideas?????

Have your reverse fans ever come on?? I have a 15 RTL and don't notice any measurable amount of heat in any area. my 15 never had the fan run after shutdown.

no fan after shut-down. normal.
heat in front of seat ? never noticed that on my RT.
I know if you sit and idle long enough, fans will come on, and probably everything will be heating up.
You will LOVE your 1330.

My 2010 used to cycle the fan a bit after shutdown. ;)
But the 2014: never!
And no sign of any hotspots around the seating area either...

HEAT ?????

I'm taking a guess here, but hopefully the dealer put all the SUB-PANELS on when they assembled it......or maybe BRP didn't......I have never heard of ANY heat issues like yours related to the 1330 engine Spyders......If this is your first Spyder or Motorcycle remember every gas combustion engine produces heat........some more than others ......but ALL do.....................Mike

Yep- Fan kicks in after about 4 mins at idle

Got home after about 50 miles of the last leg this weekend, and thought I'd check the oil after the recommended 10 mins. idling to allow oil levels to stabilize.

Fans came on at 4 and 7 mins of idling, and could feel the warm air being pushed forward. I Shut it down and checked the oil level to see how it was after the first oil change. The level was right at the top bead (full) and had put about 5.2 qts in with the engine oil and filter change a week ago.

Also no fans come on at shutdown for me. No heat issues either. Reporting from tropical Alaska. 2014 RT-S.

The fan did come on once in awhile at shutdown on my 2010 RTS.
