Last week I took my :spyder:to the dealer for a overheating issue. As soon as it warmed up to 4 bars coolant streamed out the right side. I thought it was coming from the overflow hose. I suspected a bad thermostat or even a bad water pump. As it turn out the tank had split and when the pressure built up it opened up and the coolant flowed. Seems as though the cap had malfunctioned causing the tank to build more than the 15 lbs of pressure it is supposed to, which caused the tank to split. A new tank and cap solved that. While there the :spyder: went into limp mode caused by the 02 sensor. A new sensor was installed and now my :spyder: runs smooth as silk when it gets hot. I had noticed for some time that it ran like crap (popping & cracking) when the temps reached the high 80's & 90's. We rode over 1400 miles with the temps around 96 over 3 days and it performed great. The engine temps stayed at 3-4 bars mostly only reaching 5 bars when we were in city traffic during rush hour. The guys at East TN ATV save me from making the trip in the cage.
