• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CONVENTIONAL TRAILER PLUG TO SPYDER SOLUTION

BLUEKNIGHT911

Sadly Passed Oct 2024 - RIP
Since I built my own trailer and used an LED TRL. lighting kit from Walmart, I needed to come up with a wiring assembly for my 08 G/S ( it actually doesn't matter ) and I wasn't going to go broke doing it........I found that a Gold Wing harness works perfect...it has the 5 to 4 convertor and enough wire and snap connectors to do the job in about 1/2 hr.......I'm sorry I didn't write down the wire colors that I connected to but the next time I'm in there I will and re-post........annnnnnnd it only cost $18.00.....I honesty can't believe what BRP charges for their's......Mike..............In case I gave the wrong impression, the GW wiring harnness to trl. adaptor I used was NOT GW OEM....it was made by a co. called Add-On accessories which makes alot of after-market parts for GW's and probably other motorcycles......I doubt if a genuine GW harness would be any cheaper than BRP....

Yeh That's the ticket. The costs to do OEM is outrageous. Thanks for the great workaround for those of us without deep pockets:bowdown::yes::clap:

I wonder if there is what other Gold Wing parts fit the Spyder? Like your G W harness & Y pipe gaskets.

Thanks Mike, you just saved me some money! There's an Add-On Accessories store in S. Burlington. I'll stop in on Monday.

And the infusion of GoldWing DNA into the Spyder chassis: :2thumbs:
( can't wait until we're good enough that the Wing Dingers come to us for a bit of help...)
