There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Considering This Riding Jacket.....

Does anyone have any opinions on it? Or experience with this jacket/brand/vendor? They have a 3-Day sale at this price right now. I'm a newbie who hasn't yet bought my Spyder (but I'm getting close!). I don't plan to ride in winter or foul weather, if I can help it. My main concerns are visibility, comfort and safety.

So, what do you think of this jacket?

Thanks!

I like it but no armor but that depends on if you want it or not. I've to get something better than what I have.

Oops! I just saw that it does have foam armor but it's not CE approved armor.

For your purpose No winter or bad weather it looks Great and I love the color. If it has padding that's fine and the visibility factor is important to me. I would buy it if It was not summer and I have 2 summer jackets?

 I'm sorry...
But while I have no personal experience with this brand: I have some reservations about its ability to hold up to constant use.
(But this might just be my fear of the unknown...)
I prefer to stick to known brands having a track record that can be easily researched.
I don't scrimp on my gear: it may just have to save my butt some day! :yikes:

I've had this jacket for a year next month. Very comfortable, has Level 3 armor, zip out liner, zippers and snaps on sleeves and fits me very well. I wear it every time I'm on the Spyder no matter how hot the temperature is. As long as you are moving it is comfortable enough to wear...........even when it's 98° and 75% humidity. It has held up well and no problems with the zippers or seams.

There are better jackets available but I don't think you'll find them at anywhere close to this price.

Edit

We've put over 8500 miles on our Spyder.....me with this jacket and my wife has the women's version.

Thanks a lot for that link! I think that this jacket might well be worth the additional $20, since it has more substantial armor.

I have no experience with this particular jacket or the manufacturer but from my experience you will hate the "breathable" liner as it won't be breathable enough. Also, while the front vents are quite large they will mostly be blocked by the windshield and fairing of your Spyder. I would suggest that you look for a jacket that is both waterproof and breathable without requiring a separate liner. You can't go wrong with anything made from Gortex fabric.

Can-Am has some nice jackets at reasonable prices that aren't Gortex but are something similar.

Clothing, Jackets, Gloves, shoes and certain accessories are online NO GO ZONES for me unless I have seen them in person. It "looks" like a nice jacket, then it arrives, then you are fighting to return it cause its.....GARBAGE. Shipping fees both ways, restocking fees and "if the package is opened" policies tell me to not buy unknowns online. Too many BAD experiences buying online. My thoughts

What are the written return/refund policies?
Do they have a reputation?

I always try to check it out in a local shop first and either buy on line or local if they will price match or come close with shipping as a consideration also.
