• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Connect 5 wire trailer to 4 wire bike.

The bike has 4 wire plug. White for Ground, a brown wire for tail/running lights. A yellow wire for left signal, green for rt signal also, when the brakes are on the yellow and green wire are hot. So, they serve as Brahe and signal wires.

the trailer has five wires. Blue for brake, yellow for right signal, brown for left signal, green for running lights, blue for ground.

what is the best way to connect the trailers five wires to the bikes four wire plug?

What do I do with the blue wire on the trailer?

I will assume the trailer turn signal lights are amber in color. If not let me know.

You have 2 basic options. Rewire the trailer and abandon the amber turn signal lights. Then split the left and right brake lights to 2 circuits so you can use them for combined turn/brake lights. The other option is to Wire in a converter like this.

You would likely have order it online because it is not as common as the other way.

Replace the BRP module/isolator with 5 wire out isolator. You should be able to glean what you need from my installation here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...us-other-lights-Part-1&highlight=trailer+wire

I wonder if there is any chance that whoever installed your trailer light harness installed a 5 to 4 converter under the Tupperware. If so, you couldn't remove it and bring the 5 wire out to the hitch. Just a thought.

That's what the BRP module is. Replacing that is my recommendation.
