I have poured over the threads, but just need to confirm what I think I learned. It appears any year of comfort seat for an RT will fit the 2014 RT. Is this the case? Thanks

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

That's true- however 10- 13yrs don't have seat cutout for backrest

That's true too. But on the 10-13 seats you can make your own cutout and get a better backrest for less money. Like my Utopia backrest...
But, beginning with the 2014 model, they also redesigned the comfort seat, and made it a bit more comfortable to sit on.

Just added the comfort seat to our 2014. Compared to the 2012 version, it appears to have a bit more padding, backstop portion is a tad higher, and has the cutout for the BRP backrest. A Utopia will also work, but the cutout has to be trimmed a bit.

comfort seat compatabilty???
I have a 3 wk old 2014 and looked for a backrest. I found 1 on kijiji that was almost new , seat and backrest. Dummy me I didn't take any seat measurements and bought the seat. I thought I would just remove the backrest bracket and put it on my seat. I did that but the seat backrest pluggin portion was in the wrong position. Now I take measurements and find the comfort seat I bought, I knew is was for a 2015 just assumed it would fit, it is about 2 in longer that my 2014 rt ltd seat.
Guess the question is, will this 15 seat that is longer fit my 14? I thought my bike had the comfort seat!!!
I am going to price out getting a new support bracket for the backrest.
Any comments will be appreciated:yes:

Don't know about 15's... I have a 2014 Comfort seat on my 2011. Way better than original.

Contact your dealer's parts dept. and ask for part numbers for your color of comfort seat for 2014 and 2015. They should be the same unless a 2015 Spyder color resulted in a new color seat.
