• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Completely off topic...Sort of

We all ride or we wouldn't be here. We all use M/C gear and many of us buy it over the Internet.

I sell some gear on the Internet and one of the hardest things to do is fit someone by email.

So, you can imagine that I need all the help I can get to have a chance at giving accurate advice. It doesn't help when people are in denial.

With this in mind take a look at what I found in my In-Box today.

Hello

I am 5 foot 11 inches weighing 185 lbs. and wear size 38 waist pants and
16.5 inche shirt collar with a 31 inch shirt sleeve length, chest size is 46.

I do not know if the 3XL or 4XL leather motorcycle jacket is the correct size.

Come on PLEASE! I am 5' 10", 34 waist, 42 chest, 15" collar and I weigh 180. Is this guy serious that with his measurements he only weights 5lbs. more than me?

OK, now I feel better...thanks for listening. This is great therapy!

My size is identical to yours BajaRon and I weigh 175. That guy would be well over 200lbs unless his bones are made or styrofoam !!

I admit that I should be about 15lbs lighter than I am and I can understand going a bit light on the truth but it amazes me that someone would want the right gear (that actually fits) and can't bring themselves to tell it like it is. Especially with someone that they don't know and will probably never meet.

I just have to smile.

Hmm.... maybe the 'space thingy' comment in another post made him think he was on the moon......... in which case........ MAYBE he's 185..... LOL :joke:

just a thought but could it have been a typo - the customer meant to type a "2" instead of a "1"?

I thought of that so I politely asked. He's sticking to his story. Got to give him credit. I'm going with the diminsions and disregarding the weight. I've got to throw out one or the other.
